Craft Barn Quotes and Lyrics Challenge 13: Path and Horizon

For this fortnight, the Craft Barn's Quotes and Lyrics challenge prompts were Path and Horizon.

Unlike prompts from the 12th challenge, this time there were a gazillion quotes I could choose from.  I chose the word path,

in the form of an Irish Blessing.  The number 13 signifies the 13th challenge, which also marks the half way point for the year.  As always, I started with a file folder cut in half.  In this detail shot, you can see I've also added two birds and one flower, all from punches.

For the background, I started with a Viva paper towel (I believe they are called kitchen towels across the pond) that was part of a mop up from a previous challenge entry, where I used printer ink to dye fabric.

Last year, in a state of weakness (and a really good cents off coupon), I bought these Martha Stewart flowers, my other embellishments.

I hope this has put you on a happy path, as I fulfill this latest Craft Barn entry.

And even though I thought I was not going to make it, I actually got around to visit everyone who entered the 12th CB challenge.  Unfortunately, I am, as I've stated in the past, unable to leave comments to those who are on Facebook, Flickr, and some G+ blogs because I'm not a member of those media sites.

Hi Elizabeth,

I am relaxing and visiting blogs this afternoon!! I love this page and the background is amazing. Computer ink on paper towels - brilliant!

I love the irish blessing that you've chosen for this page also. I love hearing nature sign, whether it be birds, crickets or cicadeas.

Hugs,
Kay

Elizabeth, I don't know how on earth I missed this post - thanks for giving me the link! I love what you've done with these wonderful bright colours. And yes I remember those birds! I tried to find you the punch but they were all out and so I sent you some punches - it was a long time ago!

Lovely quote/blessing and lovely background. I always think what to do with the paper towels that I mop up inks with and you have shown me how effective they are. Thanks. Hope you enjoy visiting my Facebook page and seeing more than a thumb nail. Maybe one day I will get a blog but it just seems a little hard at the moment.:)
