Today I'm using one of my handmade color mists and a purchased color mist to create a few backgrounds on file folders.
I realize many of you came to see only the rocking horses. Now some believe bigger is better, but today you get four for the price of clicking on my post. They may be small, but they are all mighty (mighty loved, I might add).
Please leave your number, the one you get when you link up at Julia's, if you visit from WOYWW. Although it took me till Monday night, I visited over 75 deskers thanks to the numbers. If you didn't leave a number and I couldn't find you easily, I eventually stopped trying.

Ohhh I do love misted backgrounds and even better when you make them yourself. Hello to all the horsies who look like they are in a race for the lead. Have a lovely week.

Oh, what cute rocking horses. #3
Wow #1 again. I do love your rocking horses, but your sprays have me curious. What are you using? Peg R #13
Hey #!- I'll post more details about the stencil paste on my blog as soon as i find the time.
I'm too much into control to do much with mists.
thanks for visiting and the snoop around.

I can certainly believe you had your eyes closed I didn't even last through 1 episode. DH pointed out the hat from his memory of the French Connection and the shop assistant filled us in with it use in Breaking Bad. Sandra
I also love misted backgrounds and I have made my own spray too. To add to my rather large collection of bought ones :)
Thanks for stopping by,

You know, I was slow to join in with the mists, but they are a delight to use, and really do make for some pretty backgrounds, don't they?
Very sweet rockers this week!
A Happy WOYWW to you!
:)trisha, with a
BIG mess this week
PS--
#21 this week!
:)
Your rocking horses are adorable. I think smaller is always better. After all jewelry comes in small boxes. And I really like your backgrounds. I am all about paint spatter. April #22
I'm not much of a mist-ER, mist-ee, mist-ress OOPS! Your backgrounds look great. Sweet lil rockers racing to get away from the mists. :) Happy WOYWW! Nan G #23 I'm back for a brief bit to visit just a few. Hugs from me n the girls
Super backgrounds and adorable rocking horses, not even done my page post yet BJ#??
I love your little rocking horses! :) Have a great WOYWW! Sharon #26
Hi Elizabeth! I like your rocking horse family! It was worth visiting you to see them,( especially the baby!!!) and I don't need to give you my number since you visited me and left a lovely comment. As usual! Do you know that I have a hard time remembering my number? Yup, that's me! (a little trivia) patsy
WOW, you visited a LOT of desks! I get round to about 25 each week. I love the 4 little guys this week. Great misted file thingys too. #32
your misted backgrounds look great; I love to mix my own too. Well done getting to so many desks last week, I didn't... Helen 9 (thanks for already visiting!)
Love the backgrounds Elizabeth. I tend to be a bit heavy handed when I'm using sprays, must learn to leave white space, much more interesting. It's good to collect things, you with your horses and me with my stamps :-)

Oh mists! Something else I can add to my backgrounds too. How inspiring you are. And proof too of my messy methods considering we're working on similar things! Starting to have a lot of respect for all you gals who keep backgrounds in stock.......I May well be changing my processes!
What super diddy little horses, they are gorgeous. How many do you have in all?
I like your backgrounds, I make them and lose them, do you store yours safely to use when you need them? Lookingforwardtoseeing them in use.

I'm back in the fold at last and it's good to see your desk with your inky experiments. Backgrounds are always my favourite messy time. The mini rockers are so lovely. I think of you often if I see any on my travels.

Cute rocking horses there! Love the spritzing work too. Happy WOYWW! Karen x 77
I'm running late with my visits today [well late for me :-) ].
Have had a busy morning playing with the twins but they are both down for their naps now so I'm having a quick catch up with my friends :-)
I love your backgrounds you've been working on but love your horses more ;-)
Hugs,

Hello lady and Bluebeard at No1 spot!
The backgrounds look good , any idea what your going to do with them yet? Cute little rocking horses and four of them!
Hope the weather is a little warmer and your getting out into your craft room
Jackie 33
Lovely horses, where do you keep them all?

Every time I see bluebeard I miss my cats.
Once again you are busy creating, you never cease to amaze me. Stay warm

You and your handmade sprays sure do make lovely backgrounds together...
along with your attending rocking horse ;)

Beautiful backgrounds Elizabeth, I also picked up a Perfect Pearls Mist spray in Archiver's but had already put it away when I took the photo. I do enjoy using them. I was lucky with the bargains, if you go too early there's a lot of choice but not a great sale, leave it too late and it's all gone!
Hugs

Oh what gorgeous little rocking horses - and equally gorgeous misted backgrounds! They look like a lot of fun to make :)
Happy WOYWD!
Kate #52
Misted backgrounds - that's what's on my "to do" list for today! Lovely! And the rocking horses - so cool!
Lindart #91
Hello there love all the rocking horses. I have one and it goes on my Christmas tree and is safely put away but I wish it was out now :-)
I like the backgrounds you have created and they have given me an idea for my journal for the Documented Life Project I am taking part in.
Anne x #63
Now that's a great effect with the Misty Paints....and you exactly the background you want! Clever :-)
Do any of your rocking horses have names? They look so like fairground galloped in the carousels and they're all named. Or do you have just a few too many.... ;-)
Hugs, LLJ 51 xx
Looks like your backgrounds are off to a good start, misting always looks great.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.
Happy Woyww,
Sandy #5
I don't think I knew one could make their own misty stuff. That's rather brilliant and now makes me wonder how there can be so many mists on the market. Then I realize that I wonder that anyhow, since I'm not a fan of them. I know many others like it, so more power to y'all. I really like your sweet little rocking horses and seeing them was definitely worth the price of a click! Judy #96
Wonderful backgrounds. I make my own mists also, so much less expensive, and I can create my own mix to create new colors.
What are your backgrounds being made for?
Love little rockers
Thanks for the earlier visit. I got my post up and then went to bed. Now I am playing a little catch-up
Krisha #31
Happy WOYWW great space xx Jan (95)
loving those rocking horses, they are well cute. I too am making backgrounds this week.

Carol N #81
Hi! First time WOYWW'er here. Thanks for the great tip/tutortial on making mica mists. Definitely going to try that out. How many times have you been #1 at WOYWW?
Cathy #103
Happy WOYWW - love your background. Cute hobby horses too
Looking forward to seeing what those file folders become! Cute little rockers!
Debxx #17
Sprays can make some wonderful backgrounds ~ but, clearly, I don;t need to tell you that! I hope we get to see some of what you create with those folders. And the rocking horses are so sweet. :)
Thanks for stopping by, I did not realize you were from the US..I have a classmate there now retired from Boeing. You referred to the doily hearts..I just ordered them from Oriental Trading..they have free shipping once in a while so I ordered a few things. Online I think they have different sizes this set came with the 3 colors.
I like the backgrounds, I need to get some done ahead but it was a sunshine day so we went out 29 here !!!! wow spring like. Enjoy your week.......have lots to get caught up on.
Happy WOYWW. Mists. That is one item I am avoiding adding to my craft room. Recently given in and started stamping again, but still craft digitally a lot. Congratulations on the No.1 spot. Ali x. #56
Love the backgrounds, looks great fun!
Rachel #109
As always the rocking horses are adorable! Love misted backgrounds but so fed up with misters that don't work if you leave them that I have taken to decanting/making just what I need into spare bottles and then cleaning them up when I finish. I am so pleased you entered my giveaway - I think that even if your name doesn't come out of the hat there might be a Timmy Tag in your future. Thanks you for the visit, you won't have to look for me again because you've already been!! Cindy x
More horses! But I love them anyway. The sprayed pages will become gorgeous pages, I'm sure
OMG! #1 again! Congrats. I have started playing with homemade supplies because I am really tired of going broke chasing the new and latest fads. Do you use any specific pigment or color to make your sprays? any kind of stablizer? Love the rocking horses Elizabeth. Thanks for sharing them I am late getting posted again this week so you can find me at #111. Vickie aka Okienurse
ah dear Elizabeth (numero uno again :D)
.. and yes must confess the rocking horse are the stars!! but spritzing inky colours works too :D happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #29
Hi Elizabeth (and Bleubeard), just taking the opportunity whilst I can (my Internet connection is pretty patchy at the moment, sigh!)to visit. Your spritzed backgrounds look fab - nice colours - and those dinky horses are too cute. A belated happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #70
Hi there - love the colours on the misted background, orange and pink are real hot colours so hope they warmed you up when making them.
Four rockers this week was a lovely surprise.
Hope my pal is well and keeping himself warm.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me earlier, sorry I am so late - Neet 50
My desk is in the living room so I can't ban the cats from my craft room. None of the cats ever got on my desk until we got Charles and Dio. I tried to teach them to stay off but it was a loosing battle. Now even the older cats get up on my desk. Cat fur has become a frequent embellishment.
Flizabeth, Thanks for visiting me,the stamp pad holder came complete with stamps pads in it. They are Whispers inks and unfortunately the do not make them any more. But yes it is an extremely good way of storing them.

Hi Elizabeth
looks like you are having fun with the sprays.... I think we all enjoy getting messy with the inks, they look great.
Thanks for your visit earlier. The registry office on the invitations it is the place where we go to have the non religious ceremony... the actual wedding ceremony but not in a church, so its quite important. there isn't usually enough room for all the guests so, many of them will go straight to the reception. As these events are very expensive most of their friends will only be coming to the dance in the evening... just the way it is done over here, but it works

I can't believe how long it is taking me to get round everyone this week, and I was sure I had visited you, but I reckon I was just thinking of last week. Where has January gone already? I agree with the others that those misty backgrounds are lovely. You gave us extra with a whole herd of rocking horses too. I have to admit that my desk is now a mess again, but still not as bad. I ran out of time yesterday and the dogs wanted out - NOW!!! So I did not get the clearing up done after I had finished doing my altered Clarity envelope. That was a light hearted dare between me and Sam Crowe, following several other bragging comments from both of us. Being a padded envelope, it was quite challenging but still the fun it was intended to be. Have a good week. xx Maggie #2 PS how did you get in before me, when Mr Linky said I was first - he tells fibs.
Hi Elizabeth,
The background papers look interesting. Love the rocking horses. And I agree, bigger isn't always better!
Not playing along (again this week) but thought I'd stop by and say hello.
Hugs,
Kay
I like the cute little rocking horses. But then, I can't recall seeing one I haven't liked over the years of visiting you! Thanks for stopping by x
Fiona #40
Thank you so much for coming to see me :) It has been AGES since I took part in WOYWW!
I really love your folio folder backgrounds. They look scrummy with all that drippy colour!
And of course the rocking horses always make me smile :P x
