I had actually planned to take you on a really good dining experience this week, since I had such lovely comments about my bad T(ea) experience last Tuesday. However, my plans fell through because my friend Sally, who I was planning to treat, was unable to make it because her hot water heater quit working and she had to scramble to find someone to replace it.
Having said that, now it's time for a bit of retrospective.
Do you remember when I made this tea stained art using old tea bags and magazine images? I believe I said I wasn't sure what I would do with it, but I knew it wasn't finished.
Today I'm declaring it finished, since it's now going in my 7 Continents altered book. I've added more tea bags, joss paper, some stamped images I was gifted with, a China flag cut from a roll of flags,
German scrap, and a bit of stamping.
The tea tag attached to the original piece was complimented by another tag I hid under the China flag. Since I have no good way to photograph it, and I can't scan it open, you just have to take my word there's a tag under the flag. Wish I hadn't hidden the string so well! I disguised the gutter side (even though it will go in a 3 ring binder) with more tea bags.
This will be added to the Asian section of my 7 Continents AB. It is on the reverse side of the Sochi, Russia spread I showed a week or so ago.
Now it's your turn to share your T(ea) Stands for Tuesday post by linking below. When you do, Bleubeard and I will be by, along with other T(ea) participants and fans.

Hello there Mistress of the Tea Pot! Great journal page there. I am glad I am not the only one who keeps tea bag labels. I have some pretty ones with little orange birdies on if you would like a couple. Must remember the tea staining technique for my neglected journal when I dust it.
Happy Tuesday.

Hello! Nice page for your book. I really like the gold lanterns across the top. Were you inspired by the upcoming Chinese New Year?
Way to go on another page done! I love this!!
Happy early T Day to you and everyone else! My cold is worse today, feeling very yucky and enjoying hot tea each day to help my throat.
Just wanted to come by and say hello and have a good week!
Oh what a fun piece! I loved it from the moment I saw it and the bits you added to it are only making it better. Here's my T story: I am but a mere water drinker, no coffee, no tea, no soda, no juice for me. I also have this lingering cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, and the ladies who work on the other side of the wall from me brought me tea. It was so good and so healthful and made my cough take a rest. Now I have my own tea. I confess I'm not even sure what to do with it but in the name of not coughing I shall persevere!
Unfortunately, I think you would be hard pressed to find a tea bag label in our house as we only have leaf tea :-( but we do have plenty of tea as that is all we drink, really. Love this page and the asian influence
What a great page for your 7 continents book.
I love any kind of pretty label.
Was interrupted for nearly 4 hours when writing my post and it is now past my bedtime.
So Happy T-day my friend.
Terrific page...love the Asian influence.
Love the joss? paper, the red/ gold stuff. Always cheers up anything....xox
I really like the page, the string on the tea bag adds just that bit of extra texture and I like the joss paper too.

i love that pot and those sweet blue & white cups. you do such a great job with composition!
Love this Asian inspired page-esp. the joss papers. What a great idea too for a 7 Continents journal. I bought a Smash book with travel papers to eventually create pages of places I wish to visit or have visited around the world-yeah-in my spare time:)
A great page! it will look wonderful in your 7 continents book...I adore the red and gold combination! makes me think of Chinese new year. I had the Chinese New Year swap book out the other day while working on my postcard...remember the swap in the year of the dog? loved the tiny little lantern you included on your page... Stay warm today my dear!
Your China page is wonderful in every detail and full of movement AND looks so lifelike!
The German lantern scrap is a great touch ... tea stained paper has such great patina...
Happy T day to you...here it was a bright sunny springlike day and today we are getting snowing...
my cup of yogi tea tastes yummy :)

Great page!! Love that the string on the tea tag appears to be still holding the bag in the cup. Love the gold lanterns at the top too!!
Happy Tuesday!
This is a lovely asian-inspired page. I love the way the lanterns seem to dance along the top of the page.
While you have had your camera woes, I am trying to get used to a new computer my husband bought me for Christmas which explains why I am so late..at least it is still Tuesday!
I knew you'd find a great way to finish this!
I am shocking you today with actual tea on my post--LOL! ;)
Love the tea stain on the page. It is so similar to having a distressed effect. Those Chinese hanging lamps are so pretty.
Wishing you a wonderful week
Susan
Loving those lanterns! xo
I almost forgot about Tuesday again...but I made it :) Better late than never you know. Love your collage ♥
I can't believe I posted on Tuesday and then forgot to add myself till now on Thursday--duh! I am really off this week. Need to make it around to see everybody, too, but my arm is acting up--soon, I hope! :)
