Say it isn't so!!

Can this be real?  A screen shot taken yesterday (July 19) at 2 pm.  And to think all my British friends are complaining about the heat!  BTW, if my math is correct, 121 degrees Fahrenheit = 49.4444444 degrees Celsius (Get the guest room ready Annette.  I'm coming to Australia for a visit!).

good grief E, I hope that's not so..that's just dangerous. I'm not a complaining Brit, I am LOVING the weather, but thenit's a good twenty degrees C below wichita. Whew.

I hope that's a mistake!! We've finally cooled down here. Sitting outside doing a garage sale was pretty brutal with a heat index over 100°F.

yikes...! stay cool, dear!

OMG Elizabeth, that's scary!! I hope you and Bleubeard are OK?
Huge hugs x

According to Weather Underground, the high for Wichita, KS yesterday was 96*. Their all time high was 109 in 2006.

This web site has a great 'history almanac' at the bottom of each city's info page.

I was only in Kansas one time and that was 40 years ago but I think it was that hot when I was there!!! Anything over 90 is pretty uncomfortable. It sounds like a good time to hide out in the basement and make some cool art!

Oh wow, the heat this year has been incredible. We even hit 99 which we don't do in NE - well almost never. xox

Oh my word!! I've been miserable in the 90s, 'round here (no air, and the fans aren't helping much at this point)... And so you have my deepest sympathy! Stay cool and stay hydrated!.. As for the wooden dowels, I did leave you a message on my blog, just under your last comment. I'm very surprised and sorry they broke, and am wondering if you got them the same size as mine?.. If you try again, let me know. It really works well for me, so I hope it will for you too! ~tina

Good grief, that is like Saudi heat! I hope your basement stays cool-ish in this weather... you and Bleubeard can go hang out down there... in fact, I'd be dragging my mattress down there too! LOL
I'm sitting indoors feeling decdedly chilly this morning... can't seem to get the heat up above 17 degrees C... and that is too nippy to sit about scrapping... may have to go do some ironing! LOL
The spare bed is made up... get your butt over here and we can play in the cool.... ;)

"They" tell us we are getting a reprieve, but I really don't feel it. The temp may be lower, but the humidity is still high!
