I realize this is early, but I have a lot going on in the next few days, so wanted to get this posted in time to link with Kate at The Kathryn Wheel, our hostess for this event.
If you were here last month, you noticed I spritzed some color washes on the file folder I used for March's entry. I also
decorated a few of the days in advance, something I don't normally do. But now it is nearly finished and I didn't add any additional decorations. I have a lovely bunny rubber stamp, but it is far, far too large for this sized-down calendar. So, I opted to simply leave it as is.
I've also started April's calendar using nearly every color wash I own. There are a lot of birthdays in April, so this one should be a lot of fun.
As a bit of an early reminder for those of you who visit or follow my blog on a regular basis, and for those of you who normally just pop by once a month, beginning Monday I'll offer 22 days in which I show how to rethink, reduce, reuse,
recycle, re-invent, recover, restore, or repurpose something in order to save it from the trash. It all leads up to Earth Day, or "bEARTHday" in my world. Add to that another "R" word, the word respect: respect for our planet, respect for trash as art, and respect what you as an artist can achieve. Can't wait to get started.
Don't forget to visit the other monthly calendar participants, too.

Oh, you forgot to mark April 29 ... that's my birthday! LOL You are making awesome backgrounds for your calendars and using the blocks from an existing calendar (that I'm assuming came free in the mail or from a business) is a great idea (that I must remember to steal for my own)! Although I have cut the days of the week from one of those free calendars.
I love how vibrant those color washes look on the folders-and it looks like you'll be celebrating a lot this month! I'm looking forward to all your "R" tips!
Great calendar pages. The colors in your backgrounds always look great. Bearthday? I love it!
I agree with Annie in that the calendar blocks are a good idea, great backgrounds.
I like the addition of the little hats on some of your journal blocks :)
Great calendars Elizabeth, I have even jumped on the calendar doing thingy whatever you might like to call it. Doing mine in parts to fulfill the 12months challenges down the borders, but did make a stamp for my dates this time. What shape could I make for May I wonder? BJ
Great pages! Love the way you have made the background for April. Chrisx
Love your pages. They have such a lovely feel of simple and a lot happening.
