WOYWW 114? Nothing!

LinkJulia at Stamping Ground asks What's on YOUR Worktable (or desk) this Wednesday and I say NOTHING!! There's WOYWWendy in the background and my tool holder that has gotten a bit messy over the course of the last few weeks, but other than that . . .

all Wendy and I have to show this week is a horse that doesn't even rock!

I hope all my friends in England are safely out of harms way, and you are having a better art week than I. There's nothing happening as I seem to have lost my will to make art or organize my basement studio. Hopefully, about the time this heat wave breaks, I'll feel like making art again. Have a great WOYWW.

BTW, I attempted to get to everyone last week, but my electricity was off for quite awhile last Wednesday night and much of Thursday. As a consequence, I forgot who I hadn't visited. Maybe I'll do better this week.

Oooh... a clean desk and a fabbydoozy horse with Wendy thrown in... not bad for someone who is melting in silly temperatures!! I am sure your Mr Mojo will turn up at the door the moment the temps coll down a bit... and hopefully you can get to the unpacking of the boxes too!!

Well at least you'll be able to start fresh once the weather cools down. You visited us last week! You're always so good at that. Happy Woyww!

Too hot a couple of weeks ago but lovely and cool today. Poor you. Hopefully it'll break and you can get back to crafting. Funny we connect thru WOYWW and the looters used FaceBook to coordinate their attacks. What a weird and wonderful place, the WWW.

Have a cool one

Oh my! I never thought I would see an empty desk here! It seems that a lot of us have lost our mojo this summer. Must be the heat! Thanks for showing us that cool horse, he's very cute ;)

was listening to the thunder and hoping it would rain tonight but...no rain. I am so tired of this awful hot weather. The grass is so dry and brown here. I am looking forward to fall too. Too hot to do any crafts around here. Have a good week Elizabeth! Thanks for sharing. Vickie

Cut yourself some slack, it must be too hot to think straight where you are. The boxes will get unpacked eventually. I'd just go with the flow until the temps start to fall. I can't function in extreme heat, am definitely a northern celtic lass :)
PS Am doing my first giveaway today if you'd like a shot!

I am so embarrassed that I finally made #1 and then provided the wrong link - thanks for being so understanding. Some times I am a complete twit - the original dizzy blonde!
It has been terrible watching TV with all the rioting that has been going on - bless my son for ringing to make sure we were not going into town and alerting us to what was going on. I just hope it ends soon. Thanks for your kind wishes.
Love your clean desk - you will catch up when the cooler weather arrives so in the meantime keep showing us the rocking horses (whether they rock or not). Love to Bleubeard. Neet

Thanks for sharing your space this week and I hope the rest of your week goes well! Funny how if people do something here it seems to happen a few times, your desk is tidy, mine too and a few other's so far, must be something in the air!

I must thank you for last weeks comment and offer of that art journal course which I would love to take! I have been busy last week so didn't come back to you - as you can see I still need a lot of advice on art journaling so please bring it on!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

Stay cool..... great space there all ready for when you can find that mojo. Love the wheelie horse and Hi! to Wendy.
After a night of riots and rampaging on Monday it was reasonably calm here last night. The police are doing really well and a great community spirit has emerged ... the people don't want this and are strong about it stopping. Streets are getting cleared and cleaned as soon as they can. People are out in force supporting the police. 200 Sikhs came out in peaceful protest to protect their community near a mosque in London.
Thanks for your concern.

I have to say that keeping your work desk clean is being creative--no matter how much I clean mine off--the next day it isn't anymore--seriously. I end up making my art on a small tray or my lap.
I think the hot weather can really drag you down including your creative spirit--I hope it breaks for you--it finally has here--now just all rain.

It's hard to just keep going in the heat, much less do creative thinking! Hang in there, it'll get better!

I look forward to seeing your creativity return as the temperature drops ...love the horse even though it rolls rather than rocks.xx

I used to live in Croydon before moving up to Scotland ...It was one of the places that was attacked on Monday....so sad.

I hope it cools down for you soon Elizabeth, I know we all can’t wait for summer but it can’t be fun when that oppressive heat goes on and on and on.

Love the clear desk, not something we see often on our rounds of the craft desks of the world and it doesn’t matter that your little horse doesn’t rock, he’s so sweet.

Have a good week and Happy Crafting (when you get back to it that is!)

I bet the horse rocks when you wheel it along though, yes?

A lovely blank canvas just waiting to be covered with creative mayhem - enjoy the luxury for the mo!

Thanks for stopping by...

Can't believe the Mid West (is that the right term for where you are?) is still suffering, we broke the back of it last week thankfully. Your empty desk is just a blank canvas waiting for you, it'll come, don't force it.

I agree - a lovely clear workspace is a great encouragement to the creative muse. I wish mine were that tidy!!

Love your little rocking horse :)

Thank you too for your good wishes. We had riots here in Manchester last night - it's awful. Fingers crossed it will all be stopped quickly.

Got to admit that my desk is like yours just now. Think I'll go and change it!!

That horse is beautiful, even if it doesn't rock! Heres wishing you the return of mr. Mojo! All the drama in London saddens me, how did our society get to this point?

a clean desk makes me itch to be creative... all the possibilities

Elizabeth said...

Now, that is what I call an inviting desk - nothing on it so plenty of space to work in. Shame about the horse that doesn't rock, looks as though he has traded in his hooves for a penny-farthing :) It's a great pity I couldn't send some of our very much cooler weather across the pond - it might help you find your mojo again. I think we are all astounded by the happenings over here - how, indeed, did our societ get to this point? Here's wishing you a good week. Elizabeth x #60

hahhhasa

we have riots all the time ( murder square mile in our neighbourhood) but most of the time it never gets in the news, 'tis because it is London me dear that it makes headlines,

everyday someone is robbed, mistreated, hurt, or worse,

time we started caring more about people and less about money and things...

Wow the rocking horse looks really unusual. Shall be posting its pal today :-) hope your art returns soon, when mine disappears I always try sorting when my mojo goes, but I'm not sure I could do that in extreme heat. Kezzy x
