A gift from across the pond

One of the perks of getting my mail all at once is I had a wonderful surprise last week from Julia Dunnit. While out shopping with her daughter, they found this tea. Julia's not sure if it is meant to make me feel better, or just that she knew I'd appreciate the box. Whichever, it makes me feel good to know she thought of me.

As you can see, I'm pairing this Twinings Rose Garden tea with one of my carrot muffins I made over the weekend. The muffins were made using a combination of brown and white sugars, lots of cinnamon and spices (extra, in fact), carrots, and one apple. I've already had five of them, and the one I'm having this morning will go nicely with my cup of tea.

I'm not sure how much longer these tulips will be healthy, but I thought I should include them in the photo, even though they clash a bit with the pink of the lady's dress on the box and bag. Incidentally, the tea tastes exactly like rose hips. It is wonderful, and there is no need for sugar, honey, or milk. Thanks again to Julia for this tea.

Hi.
I love julia.
She is uber thoughtful.

I don't think the flowers clash - I think they are SupER PRettY.
but I'm basically color-impaired so best not to listen to me.

What a lovely tea! Roses seem to be the theme this Tuesday and those carrot muffins, yummmm! I'm too lazy to bake some, so perhaps I'll just have to stop by my local bakery and buy some for myself. And I always love receiving beautiful gifts in the mail myself.

Purrs to you and Bluebeard,
Wendy

Well, I liked the box and I thought I could smell roses...I don't wanna drink it though. Funny huh! Lovely view of your wonderfully laid up tea break with the vase of tulips too - they have lasted really well.

Beautiful- I know you'll make something wonderful with that box! And of course, the tulips are gorgeous too- I still haven't been able to stay on my PC long enough to open the pic you sent, but rest assured I'll keep trying :) and then it'll probly end up in a painting....you know me and tulips, I just can't resist!
Happy Tuesday-xo

Such a lovely tea today, Elizabeth! And frankly, I love the way that colorful box looks next to the tulips. You know how much I love color!!! LOL!!! Happy Tuesday! Hugs, Terri xoxox

PS That muffin looks super yummy!!! My mouth was watering when I read your description, and I'll just bet they smelled fantastic when they were in the oven!

You're right about the rose tea :) .... And I had a muffin this morning too ... Carrot and raisin and pineapple ... Close enough :)

To make my tulips last, I add ice cubes to the vase every morning. That was a tip I received from a saleslady at the local tulip fields years ago. Works great! They miss the snow I guess :)

Hi Elizabeth. Happy Tea Tuesday to you, you look and sound like you are having a good one. Those carrot and apple muffins sound delicious as does the tea, such a pretty box, I don't think I have seen that one over here. I have'nt done a tea post for a while , but hope to be organised for one next Tuesday. Thanks for popping in and visiting me and leaving your sweet comments, I love hearing from you.
