Prep day

My dear friend Dana called me early yesterday morning and told me she couldn't even get out of bed due to her fibromyalgia. I have learned that this disorder manifests itself in different forms in different people, and when Dana overworks, as she did on Wednesday, I suspected she would feel it, and she had. She promises that today we will go to the Thai market, but I'm not making any promises, so we'll see what happens.

As a result, I spent the majority of the day sorting things to go to the basement studio or my main floor craft room. I even got rid of two bags (grocery sized) of magazines, small paper bits, and other scraps. It made a dent, but not much that one could see. Ever since I've been helping Dana, it seems I have more and more things to find homes for, but have put that task on the back burner. Although I made headway, all I really accomplished was the sorting and pitching. I'll soon be putting my organization skills to the test.

I also got the rest of my OWOH packages sent today. Now all I have is Marlynn's, whose package will be brimming from winning two giveaways.

The remainder of the day was spent making something that I can't show yet. However, I'll give you a sneak peek.

I also did some prep work for another project. I can't show it either, partly because it's not finished.

Want a little jewelry in your life? Then you should visit Lynn Davis. I love seeing what she's going to create next. Her art is primarily beads, polymer clay, soldering, and jewelry of all kinds. If you want a bit of eye candy today, this blog will sweeten your eyesight.

Hello Elizabeth and Bluebeard! I must apologize for not getting here sooner, but as you know, it is crazy times in my household with Jason the nearly two year old. As such, I'm forced to stay up all night catching up with all my lovely blog friends (such as yourself!). Well, I sure don't like the sound of Dana's symptoms! My friend Sally was suspected of having fibromyalgia and what you descibe here sounds very similar...not getting out of bed because of the pain, etc. Not a very pleasant thing, really.
Well, on a happier note, I've just made another ACEO (I'm on a roll, you see! Ha ha). So, after posting it up, I've come over to catch up! Love what sneaky little secretive things you're getting up to. That prep work speaks of something very beautiful indeed! I'm a real sucker for spirals...

Hi Elizabeth, I am so sorry that your friend, Dana has Fibromyalgia and that she is having a flare up. I have Fibro to and yes, it can be very painful and exhausting. I will keep your friend in my prayers. It was so good to hear from you. I have been so busy that I have had very little time keeping in touch with so many people. I will do my best to visit your blog more often. You always have such interesting things to read or to look at. have a wonderful weekend.
