Achieve your vision: a spread in my Hands AB

I'll be out all day today, running and doing various chores, so I tried to make something yesterday that would be quick to post. I can only imagine what the stores are going to look like this close to Christmas.

I began this piece by making a tape transfer of the stained glass window. The window, a magazine image, was in black and white, so I used several colors of paint on the page to guess at the approximate locations of the glass, then added the tape transfer which by now was black and clear. Finally, I added the hands.

The stained glass image transfer is so cool! I also love the face in the hand.

You did a such a gorgeous job on this! I love the hands in this piece as well as in your previous post "This story in my Hands AB".
I just learned a tape transfer technique in an online class using color images. The black & white image over the colors you painted is such a beautiful effect!!
Thanks so much for your visit to my blog, I am always so happy to hear from you!
Merry Christmas sweet Elizabeth~

Elizabeth - I didn't realize I had missed so much on your blog - you have been very busy with art and life!

I enjoyed seeing all of your new hands spreads - this one was my favourite of this latest crop. I really like the window effect - very clever! And the painted text "dripping" over your image too - just a great spread overall!

Cindy :)
