Fly High

Today I'm once again at Art Journal Journey (AJJ) with a journal page for my dear friend Chris, this month's host, who can be found at PearShapedCrafting. Her theme this month is Spring Forward.

Spring winds are perfect for kite flying.  Details are below.

I began by laying down metallic turquoise acrylic paint on 5.5 X 8 inch (13.97 X 20.32 centimeter) 110 lb. cardstock.  When dry, I added the kite I cut from vintage sheet music.  I used a white Posca pen to create the tail and orange and pink Posca pens to create the bows.  I also used the orange Posca pen to separate the two areas of the kite.  I outlined the sentiment using the pink Posca pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Bleubeard and I would love to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of Spring Forward
