No matter how far back I stood,
I wasn't able to get these herbs in one shot.
There are 35 herbs, some have survived from last year. You might be able to tell I cut the lemon grass back to 4 inches. I planted four pots with dill seeds: three for the monarchs and one for me. I planted two types of basil seed, dill seed, and cilantro seed. I planted a few flowers out front in the wheel barrows. I decided to leave the tarps until they disintegrate. I never want the bamboo to return, so I decided to wait to build herb beds.
We have a water shortage in Wichita, but my next door neighbor ran a line from my new last year sprayer to his well. I don't have to worry about water for my plants, now.
Thanks for dropping by today. Sorry I was MIA yesterday, but I started about 8:30 a.m. and finished about 7:20 p.m. Then it was a needed second shower and a meal, the first of the day.

So many herbs, bet your cooking is wonderful! I need more soil and might bring some herbs home as well. Yesterday I planted for the bees. Wish me luck, please!

Wonderful herb garden!
Your herbs will keep you busy and your yard will smell amazing. Wasn't that nice of your neighbor to hook you up to his well. We got lots of rain last week, but still in a minor drought. We also have a well and Himself collects water for watering in a rain barrel.

Growing herbs from seed tells me that you are a really good backyard farmer! I don’t remember any of your posts saying what you cook or prepare with all the herbs, and I would love to hear about your culinary uses for them.

I think it's smart you left the tarps on the bamboo. Plus it makes a good place to put all your pots. There's a whole lot of herbs. I hope they do great. And I hope it was a good day and you have a nice start to the new week too. hugs-Erika
