Endangered

The reason I haven't been around to visit the past couple of days is the batteries in my keyboard died and I tried to recharge them since I didn't have any that were charged.  However, after spending over a day trying to charge four different sets of 4, I gave up and bought some industrial strength non-rechargeables.

Today I'm once again joining Neet (whose blog is Hickydorums) at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is It must have wings.

It's obvious, I named this Endangered.  I'm not sure about the swallowtails, but I know the monarchs are.

I colored the computer generated word using the same three water soluble crayons I used to color the background of the substrate which was 110 lb. cardstock.  The butterflies began their life as note cards I found in my stash.

Thanks for dropping by today. I am delighted you stopped by and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey and perhaps even share your own interpretation of It must have wings.

Those are beautiful photos of monarch and swallowtails. I think all butterflies are facing hard times, but like you, I'm not sure if swallowtails are endangered. This is perfect for Neet's challenge. I hope you have a super Friday. hugs-Erika

I love your background which is the perfect foil to the butterflies. What gorgeous photographs they are. I have no idea whether the swallowtail is endangered but it is a thing of beauty which I have not seen in a long time.
Thank you for joining in again with my theme 'it must have wings' at Art Journal Journey.
hugs, Neet xxx

A swallowtail in Florida is endangered, yes.
I am sad about the Monarchs especially because I used to see them all the time when I was a kid and haven't seen them in many decades.

Beautiful. Far too many things (winged and otherwise) are endangered.

Sad these are endangered. My keyboard is connected to my tower-PC. I am old-fashioned ;-)
