Fresh

I am having a terrible time with "Failure to Publish."  Sometimes I try for two days until I finally get the comment to publish.  I hope you understand if you don't hear from me immediately.

This is the post I wanted to share on the 1st of the month, but decided it might not be appropriate for or appreciated by some.  Bleubeard and I have named this Fresh.

Today I'm sharing this post with three challenges: Art Journal Journey, Friday Face Off, and Friday Smiles.  I was sure that Nicole would appreciate this!!  It is just quirky enough to bring a smile to her face and I hope to Annie's and the other ladies who share smiles each Friday.  I have detail shots, too.  Of course, this is also for Chris's On All Fours theme at Art Journal Journey.

I knew I would never be able to fussy cut the bug legs, so I decided to mix several colors of water soluble crayons to get colors that were as close as possible to match the bugs' backgrounds.  Mama is the face of Mama Earth Organics, so qualifies for FFO.  My internet friend Jackie, who lives in Canada sent this card to me, and I found the bugs in some papers given to me by Sharon.  I guess I should also mention that the water soluble crayons were sent to me years ago by Cindy McMath.  It was definitely a gifted entry.

EDIT: I saw four legs and two arms on the bugs.  Those tiny bits near the head look like arms to me.  Four legs, two arms and two antenna.

I'll try to get through the rest of the Christmas lights in the next two weeks.

To refresh your memory, this is where we left off last time.

I wonder if that is a pink elephant in the background.  It took me awhile to realize this was a fire breathing dragon in front.

A gift box
that opened to show a pink animal.  Note the creature in the background.  That is better than anything else I got of it.

See what I mean?  That's the best of all I took.  You'll have to use your imagination here.

Another totally worthless shot.

Not sure why I took more photos of the box opening.

A teddy bear and a tree.

More of the same.

I think my shooting hand was getting very tired at that point!!  Poor Santa and his reindeer.

Luckily, it was the end.

Stylized trees and the flag of the United States of America.

We'll stop here because this is too long otherwise.  Please be sure to visit Art Journal Journey, Friday Face Off, and Friday Smiles

I was thinking, inapproriate for who? Hee hee hee. Of course I love this fresh farm. It hits all of my quirkiness. I love seeing the lights and this time myfavorite is the dragon. I hope you are feeling better. I too get that fail to publish. I copy what I wrote and try again and sometime again. With so many haveing that problem it has to be blogger. Ohhh, I have posted FFO early so you can go to bed early. :) Thank you for being part of FFO and have a nice weekend.

Maybe we should all switch to Wordpress

Your organic food illustration is neat. I must be missing something as I don’t see how it could ever be offensive to anyone, even if they weren’t an organic food aficionado.

Interesting page. I like it. But I need to put on my biologist hat, and I don't mean to be critical, but did you notice that the insects have 6 legs, not 4? The question is, are they on all fours? I suppose you could justify it though. because they are walking on all their legs and you don't have to take the phrase completely literally. And it's fun to see the Christmas lights too. I hope you've been having a great week. hugs-Erika

I used to have lots of problems with Blogger (and photos in particular) as I use a Macbook and/or a iPad. I was all set to go to the free version of Wordpress, but couldn't find anyone to help me create a new blog, so I left it. And now after a while, for some reason I have no more problems. (Don't ask me why)
Great postcard about fresh organic food. I don't see how that could not be appropriate for anyone. The 'On All Fours' could refer to the four wheels of the car rather than the insects (who have too many legs).
Lol.
The illuminations are real cute. I did spot the pink elephant and I also saw rhinos. It must have been really spectacular.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

I had problems leaving comments, also. On some people’s , I was anonymous, or couldn’t post at all. Any way, I did go back and recheck that my comments all posted. Ugh!
I gave you some bug paper? LOL. Well, it is cold again. What a weird Winter we are having. Love your “gifted” page with organic fresh VSN & bugs.

I don't know why you thought people might not like this. I find it as one of my favorites of your recent work. Well done on the bug, too!

Lovely page, I'm not offended.

I'm not sure who'd be offended by your post and if someone is then surely it's on that person, not you. :D It's awful how the world is today. You know being easily offended. *roll eyes*

I love the little of Christmas left over today. That was fun!
