FFO and Friday Smiles

It's time for Friday Face Off, hosted by Nicole and later tonight, Friday Smiles, hosted by Annie (at A Stitch in Time).  I am sorry if I missed some of you last week, but I am having trouble sitting at my computer for any length of time.  Mostly, you will find me hugging the toilet or under the covers with my two fur babies.

One night I went with my next door neighbor to the light show that had been around for many years.  However, this was their final year, so the $10.00 (USD) admission, although rather expensive, was worth the final hurrah.

I want to begin by showing why some many of my 550+ photos didn't come out.  First, I am still learning this new Nikon camera.  It isn't like my last one, even though it's supposed to be the same.  Second, there was no way to stop or slow down for too long.

The line was consistent and constant.  There was no way to stop.  My friend just had to keep going.

You can see some of the cars didn't turn off their lights, either.

I believe we will see all kinds of faces

as we work our way through this light show.

Yes, here are some real faces.

There is certainly a plethora of angels.

You can tell this is a very American light show.  Most of my friends across the pond would wish me a HAPPY Christmas.

The universal greeting.

These bulbs even sang.

As you can see, the tunnel changed colors as we began to advance.

I'm going to stop here, because it has taken me four hours to load these and I'm frustrated with my ISP.

Please join Bleubeard and me at Nicole's Friday Face Off and Annie's Friday Smiles.  Thanks to Angela, I learned and I quote:
Annie sends appologies as she is unable to blog today due to internet problems.

I’m sorry you’re still unwell. I can’t believe they don’t do massage in your area. Try putting ‘sports massage in my area’ in your search engine. That might throw up different people.
Lovely light show. A real treat in Christmas time. A shame they’re not continuing.
About ‘merry’: In England the word ‘merry’ also means ‘drunk’, and even though ‘Merry Christmas’ in that sense might be appropriate for some, most people would prefer’Happy Christmas’.
Thanks for letting me know that Annie is not posting today.
Have a good weekend,
Lisca

Hi Elizabeth, it's lovely to see the light display and bet it was even better in real life. Sounds like you're still not quite yourself and hope it improves soon. Pleased you got the message about Annie too. Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx

It looks like you had a lovely and enjoyable ride even if you couldn't stop to enjoy any of it.

These days "daytime running lights" will be on even if the headlights are turn off on some cars.

The light show looks like fun. We went to one too, that had some of those light tunnels. They're great. My favorite photo was the smiling light bulb faces. They made me smile. I think you caught some great photos of them because I am assuming their faces change. Have a great Friday. hugs-Erika

Wow, this looked like a fantastic Christmas light drive-through display and reasonably priced. A similar show in Springfield, Massachusetts was $20 or $25. Like Erica, my favorite display was the singing Christmas Light Bulbs. Feel better.

I’m sorry I was missing this morning. Our internet went down yesterday and we had to wait til lunchtime today for an engineer to come out to sort out the problem….thankfully all ok now but rather too late to start writing my blog.
Such pretty lights. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Hugs,
Annie

I'm so sorry to hear you are still not well. I am sending you healing energy and lighting a candle for you. There was some sort of gltich with blogger. It did not post last night at 7PM. I double check when I am doing this and I know I had everything set right.... however. I love these light photos. You must have a good camera to capture them so briliantly. Mine just goes blury. LOL Some did a lot of work putting up all of the lights, too bad it's the last one. Thank you for joining FFO and have a very good weekend. Ohhh FFO is up not to link into.

Our neighbors who have a spectacular display took it all down around New Years Day. I don’t see how you could be made to pay to drive through this display — was it on a private road? You did get good photos.

I hope you will soon be back to good health and feeling like your real self!

You know I love light shows and this one looks incredible. The ones I have been to have to walk around - sometimes on muddy paths. Hugs, Chrisx
