You and Me

I'm back today with a really quick entry at Art Journal Journey for Elle's theme which is Books, Cats, and Tea. Today I'm once again focusing on cats, because I have created this in my Cats altered book.

This will be a quickie because I will be shopping for a hopefully inexpensive tea cup and saucer to take with me to the British High Tea put on by my local PBS station.  However, you will never catch me in one of those hats!

Look at that adorable cat with that cute pink nose.  My hair hasn't been that dark since I was in high school.

I gave a half-hearted attempt to spritz some of my handmade shimmering mist on the background before I adhered it to my Cats altered book.

The only other embellishment was the You & Me element from my stash. I quickly fussy cut the cat and lady and adhered it to the page in my altered book.  I then added the other element.

Bleubeard and I are simply thrilled you joined us today at Art Journal Journey and look forward to seeing you share your own interpretation of Books, Cats, and Tea.

A very cute page.
I think once I´m retired... one or two... Just saw the neighborhood stray yesterday. Usually he´s in for a belly rub, but reckon he had other plans. A beautiful black one (well fed).

Snuggle time is always a good time. This is a lovely page for your journal. I like that spray too. I been doing some splattering this morning myself. Have fun teacup shopping, and I hope we get to see some of your high tea fun on T day. It sounds like a blast. And even though I'm not a hat person, if I was going I might have to wear one just for the fun of it. Smile. Hugs-Erika

This project is so you. I suspect you may be in bed right now if I've got the time right so hope you managed to find your cup and saucer. I've popped over to explain the importance of Whitby UK, it's in North Yorkshire and is the home of the Goth festival which takes place twise a year and the next one is at the end of October. It was suposed to be where Dracula landed acording to the story by Bram stoker but there's lots more to it as Stoker spent time in the library in Whitby where he found information for his book. It's a lovely historical place to visit too and was also the home of my favourite victorian photographer called Francis (Frank) Meadow Sutcliffe who photograhed the poorer parts of Whitby and the fishermen, they are a brilliant look at the time and he was a pioneering photographic artist. If you have chance have a look at his photographs they are brilliant. Happy weekend. Angela xxx
