The Bookworm

By now you probably know that Elle from Empire of the Cat is our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Elle has given us several themes, which can include Books, Cats, and Tea, or any combination of the three.  I am once again working in my new Cats altered book, although I have yet to glue this into the book.

Imagine my surprise when I saw this very same acrylic stamp, loaned to me by Sharon on one of our play dates, at Neet's blog last month.

Stately, handsome, bookish, this adorable cat is the perfect ticket I need to join Nicole and her Friday Face Off later tonight.

Sharon not only brought the stamp, she also brought a couple of stamping gizmos (my word) that put the stamp in the right spot and you could stamp it more than once if you needed to.  Sadly, I didn't get it straight on the page, so I was stuck with what I had.

Sharon asked me what I was going to do with the image on the page and I told her I would think of something.  Truthfully, absolutely NOTHING came to mind until I remembered (and ran across) this leftover piece from a failed spread I had started months ago.
The background was one I created during that same play date session with Sharon.  It contains at least three Staz-on reinkers mixed with 91% isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks beyond belief for joining Bleubeard and me today.  We are grateful you stopped by.  We also hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey and Friday Face Off.

I have that same kitty stamp. It's purrrfect for tying in 2 of Elle's themes. Your background came out great also. That piece is very nicely marbled. Hope your week has improved after the cup shopping incident. hugs-Erika

I love the background that you created. It has a lovely watercolor feel to it. The cat made me laugh - mostly because my face today is a cat also.

This is just way too cool of a cat. LOL Great piece for sure. Sorry you had a frazzled time on the phone. I hate talking to robots and waiting in the que. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a very nice weekend.
