Bangkok, Thailand

I'm once again joining my dear friend Chris, our host this month at Art Journal Journey, with her Where in the World theme.

Today we are visiting Bangkok, Thailand.  I hope you enjoy your time here.
One of the Ayutthaya Temples found near Bangkok.

I rotated it, so it's easier to see where we are.

The floating markets are very popular

among tourists, but are essential to those who live in Bangkok.

There are many ways to get around Bangkok.  There are buses, taxis, bicycles, and elephants.  Note the Asian elephant from its smaller ears than the African elephant.

This impressive temple is Wat Suthat.  Inside are amazing murals of Buddhas and Thailand’s "largest surviving Sukhothai-period bronze," according to the Bangkok site on Lonely Planet.

The background is staz-on reinker added to 91% isopropyl alcohol.  The images, including the location, were taken from various travel brochures.

Bleubeard and I hope you enjoyed this visit to Bangkok and maybe learned something along the way, because I did.  We are delighted you dropped by today.  We always appreciate your visit.  We also hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Where in the World.

Not your intention... this post makes me sad.
To my left I have a wooden bookmark.
Sent to me from ex-blogger Stevenson from the Philippines.
It has an Elephant Mum with her Child and is way too precious to be used (use the silicon-horse, I tried it twice, is still pretty).
He sent it from a holiday in THAILAND.
He called me "big Sister" (he´s like 20 years younger than I am) and now has vanished.
All I know is he moved somewhere to Europe.
I´ll think of him and try if maybe his e-mail-address is still the same (but what to say after so many months? Refer him to this post, OK?) Here it might warm up a bit, sunny.
To a happy Saturday and hope the warm weather comes from you and you´re not baked anymore!

I spent 3 months in Thailand some years back. It was very picturesque, and always very full and crowded. But it was a good time there. Happy weekend!
