It's time to once again join my dear friend Chris, our host this month at Art Journal Journey, with her Where in the World theme. This will be my penultimate entry this month.
This very busy journal page covers two of the three countries in the UK: England and Scotland. I have included several detail shots. I have included the words with the pictures in case you need to translate.
Invergordon, where we strolled along the Ness River and walked the grounds of the Inverness Castle, which will soon be their new Tourist Center.
Before returning to London, we stopped at Hadrian's Wall (aka The Roman Wall). The wall extends the width of Scotland from coast to coast and was built in 122 AD. It is the best preserved of all the Roman ruins.
I found all these images in various travel brochures. I invented the story based on the images I found. I had to get some of my information from the internet because the travel brochures are notoriously unreliable with their details. I believe they want the photos to sell the trip.
I started by laying down a portion of the British flag napkin I received from Chris. However, as I began building the page, the flag was lost, so I removed it. I got a little wordy, which made it difficult to fit all the words on the page. By a bit of manipulation and placing one sentiment at an angle, I was able to fit everything on the page.
Bleubeard
and I are thrilled you stopped by today. We always appreciate your
support for our art. We also hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Where in the World.

Brilliant. I would love to see Stonehenge. And Hadrian's Wall.
You made me look up "penultimate"...! Sad what I found out, I enjoy this!
I was too young when visiting London. All I remember is Madame Tussauds...
LOL, well done, I really was surprised Bleubeard joined you!
Though (I know you don´t like Facebook) I saw people who take their cats to places! Just like dogs, with a leash and all. And the cats look happy (but they were trained from very early on).
Bleubeard is one well traveled cat. I hope you both enjoyed your visit. And I must say, you made a great page for Chris' challenge. Have a great weekend. hugs-Erika
Lovely page with many of the places I know and love. Hugs, Valerie
...thanks for the tour. I'd love to see Stonehenge in person!
I love the UK. I wish you could visit in person!
A lovely post, it would be wonderful if you could visit in person.
Happy weekend wishes.
All the best Jan
My kids, avid travelers, have been there. It was epic.
