It's Time

I'm once again joining Matilde from Craftowanie, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is Numbers.

It's definitely time!  Time for Numbers that is!

Can you see the numbers found in these postage stamps?  Because there are faces on the postage stamp, I am joining Nicole's Friday Face Off.

It's obvious there are numbers on these clocks.  Of course, a clock that has a face is any analog flat clock not digital.  Therefore these clock faces are also appropriate for Nicole's Friday Face Off.

It's definitely TIME!

Numerals on this clock face carry Matilde's theme to this side of the spread, too.

Instead of painting directly in the book, I chose to paint a sheet of cardstock which I adhered to the book once the page was dry.  The first thing I did was tear a piece of security envelope, which I then adhered to the page.  Next, I added the clocks and the postage stamps.

Once they were in place, I added the die cut clock my dear friend Julia at Stamping Ground gifted me several years ago.  Instead of using clock hands, I decided to recycle the arrow that I removed from my new mouse.  Waste not, want not.  The last thing I did was use stencils to write the words IT'S TIME!

Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me today.  We appreciate your visit and hope to see you soon with your own journal entry at Art Journal Journey.   And please don't forget to visit Nicole's Friday Face Off.  All you need is a face, even if it's a clock face!

You have lots of numbers on this page. I want to know what it's time for? Smile. I'd like to add a few hours to the day as it seems like I am getting nothing accomplished, like finishing the painting and setting up my screen porch. Have a super Thursday. hugs-Erika

Orange isn't usually a color I gravitate towards, but I like the tones on your pages and the clock faces. What time is it? For me, it's almost time for Camp Newport

Very fitting for today - before I could comment I had a look at the... time and saw I should put on shoes and start walking to the doctor NOW!
Thank you for the beautiful reminder!

This really is a fabulous page Elizabeth! I love postage stamps on pages and I especially love the addition of your clock on this spread. Grabbing a chance to catch up while the Internet in our gîte is stable! Hugs, Chrisx

I am curious (if you know) On the 8 cent US stamp, are those ladies switchboard operators?
