Monday Murals: Extant

I'm still having trouble leaving comments on some blogs.  I keep getting "Failed to Publish." If you don't hear from me right away (and sometimes never), that is why!!  It is mainly on blogs with embedded comments and less so on those with pop-up comments.  It is very frustrating.

Here in the states and in Canada, we set our clocks to Daylight Savings Time today.  That means we get less sleep time, but have more time in the evening to play outside (some of us in the snow!).

It's time once again to join Sami at Sami's Colourful World and her Monday Murals.  Even though it's still Sunday in my world, please be aware that Sami's mural link goes live at 11:01 a.m. my time today.

If you are a fan of Dr. Who, you will recognize the Tardis.  If you are not, you probably don't or won't get this mural.  In the background is our "Keeper of the Plains" and our city flag with its signature hogan.  To me, this would have been one of the finest murals in our city.  Why it was painted over is beyond me.

If you enjoy murals from around the world, please don't forget to visit Monday Murals at Sami's Colourful World.  Thanks for visiting Bleubeard and me today, too.  BTW, I have never been able to leave a comment to Pictografio no matter how many times I attempt to publish.

I am not even aware of Dr. Who, but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the mural. It is bright, colourful and very attractive.

Before I even read your post I thought "Dr. Who is visiting Kansas. CJ will love this one. I haven't kept up with new series for the last year, but the hubby and I have been watching for since the 1980's when our local PBS station used to play the original series and all their doctors every Saturday afternoon. WE used to use the VS and record them when we weren't around. Now that's taking me back. This is a fun mural, and I am guessing that might even be an actual door on the police box. Happy rest of your weekend. I hope you aren't getting snow. hugs-Erika

Lovely murals. I can only comment on a few blogs via my old iphone 6, crazy so I keep it around just for that.

that is one awesome mural! Too bad it was painted over. Thanks for sharing it on your blog. And it's Doctor Who. Dr. Who isn't his name. We don't know his real Gallifreyan name. It's a running gag that was used. Doctor? Doctor Who? 😊

I've never watched Dr Who, but think I probably should. So many references--lol! ;)

Fantastic looking mural. (Which reminds me I saw one recently, but I didn't have my camera with me, to photograph it. I need to go back there.)

Really neat mural — too bad it was destroyed. But the impermanence of murals and street art somehow seems to be part of their appeal: they aren’t going to be present forever!

I saw a tardis in the parking lot of a barbecue place near Austin, Texas. It was a real British police box for no reason except to be a tardis.

Yes, blogger is frustrating in many a way.
Oh, I need to watch Dr. Who. But I don´t know "whom"! As in original (I guess so) or the new one?
Sad you didn´t find the original mural but this is cool, too.

Too bad it's no longer there!

What a pity the mural no longer exists. It's a colourful and fun mural. I know of the "Dr Who" series, but never watched it. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Elizabeth.
While on holidays I'm visiting and commenting via my mobile (cell) phone, and with some blogs I can't leave a comment, with others I appear as anonymous and asks me to sign in to google, and with others it recognises me! All very baffling...

A classic blue police box - there are still several of these on the streets of Glasgow, where I was last weekend. Many have secondary uses now, such as selling coffee and snacks.

That's a beautiful mural.
It's so sad to see good ones disappear. Monday Murals on our blogs are a great way to keep them alive --somewhere on the web at least. :)

Happy longer evenings to you two! :)

Dr. Who is a show I've had on my list to watch, so soon enough, I will know what this colorful mural means

That’s a good one! I’ve seen some murals painted over when the property was put up for sale. It’s sad.

I have also had problems leaving comments. Sometimes I have to switch browsers.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I have not watched Dr. Who, but my husband (a Brit) was a big fan and he educated me about the Tardis when we first started dating. This is a terrific mural and such a shame it's gone!

Yes, I love murals and it is the highlight of my day when I come across a new one.
This is brilliant and the Tardis is easily recognisable, I've even got the sound track in my head now. Thanks for sharing.
