Monday Murals: Chalk Talks

It's time once again to join Sami at Sami's Colourful World and her Monday Murals.  Even though it's still Sunday in my world, please be aware that Sami's mural link goes live at 10:01 a.m. my time today.

Due to a clumsy accident on my part, I may be slow visiting this week, but I will be by to visit everyone, as I try to do each week.

Found in downtown Wichita, Kansas (USA).

As the name implies, Final Friday happens the last Friday of each month.  Art galleries, museums, restaurants, and retail shops, mainly around downtown Wichita, stay open late.   The majority of galleries are open from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Many, if not most galleries use Final Friday to unveil and debut new shows or as a closing reception. All venues are free and open to the public.  Several galleries incorporate artist demonstrations and/or live music.  It appears there is space available on the Chalk Talk board for a monthly featured artist.

It appears there is also a Little Library there, too.  ICT stands for our three letter airport code.

If you enjoy murals from around the world, please don't forget to visit Monday Murals at Sami's Colourful World.  Thanks for stopping by to visit Bleubeard and me today.  We are grateful for you and your support.

Great mural. And I love the idea. And the library.
Oh, boy, you want no sympathy, but please it was not stupidity but what we all share at some point, clumsiness. We´re back at the elephants and bulls, eh?

So glad you came away with "but" back pain, so much worse could´ve happened - 13 stairs?!
See, my Mum used to say Friday 13th is her lucky date, so your 13 steps were maybe a greeting from her?

Love your murals. Thank you.
And as the queen of clumsiness I feel for you, and hope you are feeling much better day by day.

Beautiful murals, love the colours. Hope your pains are slowly receding! Look after yourself, hugs, Valerie

The multi-door little library is neat. I hope there are good books in it. The ones in our neighborhood never seek to have anything good these days. When they all went up a few years ago, people seemed more in the spirit of sharing books. Now not so much.

I hope your back is healing safely.

Bright and colourful mural find Elizabeth.
Cute little library too. We have them in a lot of public parks.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Elizabeth.
Hope you will feel better soon xx

I'm always fascinated by murals in a "how do they do it" way as I think something larger than 6x6 inches is a large artwork.
The little library is so sweet beside these large red flowers.
I've sent you an email.
Love from Sheila

First of all, an accident is called an accident because none of us plan on them happening. I fell off the bottom step of a ladder earlier this fall (luckily the bottom step) because my shoe got stuck on the rung and my body was moving. Luckily I landed on my bottom, which is substantial enough to take the jarring effects of landing. I hope you are OK and recovering. OK, now that I have said that, this is a cool mural.I of course love the bee and those cool sunflowers. I always forget you live in a big city. Hope you have a relaxing Sunday. Hugs-Erika

Great looking murals. And I was very sorry to hear about your accident. Please don't say you did something stupid. Lately I've been seeing that word a lot: either people using it to refer to themselves, or to others. I hope you heal quickly.

I saw your comment on Mae's post. I've been falling, too! What a tragedy.

Very nice. There is an art walk once a month when we are in Mazatlan and I really enjoy it.

This is a good one, Elizabeth! I hope by now your back is improving. Things like that are never fun and always a challenge -- and the season doesn't help either, with everyone running around trying to be jolly. Hang in there and take good care of you.

They have a similar event here, but I don't get out much at night and have never been. I love that mural.

I trust you're gradually getting better. I'm sure the fall was a shock to your system :(

Something different, nice that they encourage community participation by inviting others

Goodmorning, Elizabeth. I'm a little late, in my case not because of an accident. Just lazy. I hope your back will improve soon.
