Rain's Thursday Art Date or TAD

 

It's time to join Rain's TAD.  This week the theme is Pop Art.  Unlike last week, where I was willing to create something, this week I leave it to the professional artists whose works are located at the Wichita (Kansas) Art Museum, or WAM.

I'm not sure if this is actually pop art, but it reminded me of it.  You might be able to see the title at the bottom of the painting.  It is called Migrants Cast Their Ballots.  It was painted by Jacob Lawrence and dated 1919.

I'm fairly certain this is Pop Art.  It's called Tobacco Rhoda and was painted by Mel Ramos.

I'm sure many know this is a Roy Lichtenstein.  It is called Reverie.

This is called Custom Print 1 by Peter Phillips.

This serigraph is called Ten Days and was created by James Rosenquist.

 

This is called Signs and the artist is Robert Rauschenberg.  To me, it has a very mid-century vibe.

And finally, a page from my Hands altered book.

Albert is so iconic, you can't help feeling the Pop Art vibe.

Art from my altered book was created by me.  Art from WAM was not!
