It's Friday and you will find me watering my herbs and admiring how much they have grown in a week. Of course, I'm also joining Friday Smiles which is hosted by Annie (at A Stitch in Time). Let's visit her and the other wonderful ladies who also share their smiles each Friday.
It's been so hot and dry, I have to water my herbs twice a day. Temperatures have reached record highs here, reaching 100 F. (37,78 C) on Thursday. Feels like temp topped out at 108 F (42,22 C). I am SO grateful for air conditioning.
The good news is I haven't killed anything yet and I've even had to stake my dill.
The bad news is something went wrong with my lawn mower and I had to take it in for repair. 
Now I wait to see how much this is going to set me back and if I want to save this lawn mower or purchase a new one.
Until then, I fear this back yard has truly gotten out of hand.
Only one tomato survived and two bell pepper plants after the transplant three weeks ago, but they seem to now be thriving.
I'm so glad I marked these plants, or I would be in real trouble knowing what is coming up.And finally, a few signs everyone apparently love from the Indian Hills Community Center in Colorado.

Good Morning Elizabeth, Your herbs are doing well, that's great. Sorry about the lawnmower, hope he repair won't be too expensive. And thanks for explaining about the stamp, now I remember, those stamps are always so good to handle and easy to use. It's extremely hot here, 37° forecasted today, and it was 32° when I got up. Your herbs are doing really well Elizabeth. It must be all the TLC you are giving them. I am surprised anything can survive in that heat. No wonder you need the air-con. I am too hot once it reaches the mid-thirties here, but that is a dry heat usually. In UK the high twenties are enough because of the humidity.
I hope the lawn mower is salvageable. Those machines can be a bit costly. At least you have some grass to cut. They don't have grass as we know it here in S.Spain; just some very harsh tough stuff that doesn't need mowing very often.

Herbs are looking good. Every year I say I'm going to get scented herbs. Haven't accomplished it yet.

Your plants do look amazing Elizabeth. Wow that basil has come up. I saw you were in the heat. AC is a godsend, isn't it? But the plants sure love it.And you had me laughing with some of those signs. Always good to start the day with a smile. Hope your week ends in a good way. Hugs-Erika
Our neighbor watered our herbs while we were on our two trips. He loves to water plants with his watering can -- by the way, he is three years old!
We are already harvesting bits of our herbs for salads and other dishes: the other night we had mushrooms in a white sauce flavored with freshly-picked rosemary and thyme. I hope your herbs soon get to that delicious stage of their life.

Hi Kate, I am here at last. I seem to have been late with everything this week just been a bit busy with mum and hairdressers today and a new pond filter....well it just goes on. Pleased to see the plants coming on well. We had some very warm dry days but today it just keeps raining which is probably a good thing really as even the pond was losing water with evaporation. I love those funny signs. I kept thinking "how can there be so many?" but of course you live in a much bigger country than we do. Hope you have a lovely weekend, Angela xXx

Your herbs are growing so well! Especially the basil and the dill. What are you going to do with so much basil? Make pesto?
It sure is a bummer that your lawn mower broke down. I hope it is not going to be too expensive or you will have to get rid of your lawn.
It's not so hot here these days. It's overcast these days and the temperature doesn't come any higher than 27 C (80.6 F). This is cool for the time of year in our area.
I love those funny signs. I read them out aloud and every one of them is so funny. Whoever thinks them up is a genius. Lateral thinking or what.

I’m sorry I’m so late in visiting this week. We are on a really lovely campsite in the Lake District but it has taken us til now to set up the Internet....and I’m not sure how long it will last.

Phew!!! That is hot - we had temps like that in France in 2019 but we were on holiday - totally different from living in it . Your herbs are looking good, especially all that Basil - pesto???
I have Dill envy too, just can't find any here - not even seeds!
