T Stands For Takeout

If you are looking for T Stands For Tuesday, you have come to the right post.  If you are looking for Second on the 2nd, that post (and link) will go live at 12 a.m. my time (eight hours after the T post goes live).  If your T Stands For Tuesday post and your Second on the 2nd post are the same, please link both places.

Back when I was so sick, my foodie friend and neighbor Sally said she was going for Mexican food.  I wasn't eating properly, just putting food in my stomach to stave off hunger.  Mexican take-out sounded wonderful.  I left money on my front porch and she picked it up when she brought my food.  I didn't bother removing the food from the take out container.  I just set it on my lap and ate my chilies relleno.  I also had beans, rice, a salad, guacamole, chips, and flour tortillas.  I had already eaten nearly one chili and all the guacamole when I realized I could use this as a T day entry.

Sally didn't want the French Vanilla coffee that came with her latest order of Keurig coffees, so she offered to give them to me.  She brought them at the same time she brought my food, but failed to mention that they are decaf.  I'm sure I'll find a way to use them, even if I have to have two pots of coffee going at the same time.  Gotta' have my caffeine, my drug of choice.

Now it's your turn to share your drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and most assuredly not just this year.

Mexican takeout sounds good -- eating a whole meal with spicy food is a sign you are getting better, at least I hope so! We had home-made burritos for lunch, with roasted vegetables and salsa. Sort of like you.

There is nothing better than good Mexican food. Nice Sally does that and then leaves you French Vanilla coffee. Very nice indeed.

So nice of Sally. And good to know you're getting an appetite and eating again. Of course, Mexican is the perfect choice for you knowing your love of this cuisine;) Next up- perhaps Chinese take out?
Maybe you could mix your coffee with the vanilla decafe.
Happy T day!

I wish I understood how to participate in blog things like the T post you made! But I enjoyed yours! I absolutely love chiles rellenos the MOST of any Mexican food! So glad you ate them well, and I hope you are feeling better by the day.

DECAF!!! What's the point! It's like non-alcoholic beer or wine...why? The food looks delish though so you got me there. :)
Happy T day! Working on my post right now...

Good food and unleaded vanilla coffee. I prefer leaded, but the vanilla is good, regardless. ;)

That was lovely of Sally to get you some Mexican food, knowing you like that. What a treat!
Decaf? I'm with Halle in believing it is just as bad as alcohol free wine or beer. What's the point? To give decaf coffee to a person who is a coffee addict, is an insult. . But Sally being your friend, she probably didn't notice it as she wouldn't have wanted to insult you.(And they look rather small coffees to be honest)
Hope you eye is healinbg and that you are feeling a lot better.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Hi Elizabeth, You must be feeling better if you can eat spicy food, so that's good news.
My Mum and Dad loved the cream pots, they used to make them with Baileys in them, something I'm not keen on as I don't like coffee flavour.
Happy T Day

Sally is such a good friend. At first I thought your Keurig cups were creamers and I was thinking that's so good in tea. 😺 Happy T Day

It sounds as though Sally knew just what would do you good! It looks as though you ate quite heartily - hope it did the trick and got you better! As for Decaf coffee - having noticed that disdain with which it is regarded by several others - I alternate decaf with quite strong coffee - I found that on coffee all the time my heart was racing and as the only hot drink I like (apart from Hot Chocolate which is no good for my sugar levels) is coffee my only alternative was decaf - fortunately have found a brand that tastes just as good as proper stuff and I can still have a hot drink! Mind you if we're out and about it's proper coffee for me - figuring that walking will deal with my racing heart!!! Hugs, Chrisxx

I've only had Mexican once this year -- a take-out -- and I sorely miss it. Maybe I'll have to do that again soon -- it looks delicious!
