I have two posts I want to share with you today. The first honors Rike's current theme Fruit and Veggies at Art Journal Journey. Here is the post in its entirety from July 19, 2012.
Artist's Play Room: Pear (or other fruit)
At the Artist's Play Room, Jenn asked us to draw a pear this week. Although Jenn's blog is called Just Add Water, Silly, Jenn has to be silly if she thinks I could possibly draw a pear. I know they are supposed to be an easy shape, but I don't draw, sketch, or paint much of anything, much less fruit. However, I looked for a fruity rubber stamp and remembered I had this quiltlet I had made for a friend back in February.
So there it is, my apple rubber stamp colored with red, purple, and green dye reinkers that I stamped onto a portion of a dictionary page. If you want to see how I made the background using Staz-on reinkers and shaving cream, go here.
For my second second-look,
I want to share the art and other projects I created during Art Every Day Month (AEDM) last year.
You don't have to create paper or fabric related art every day. After all, photography (as has been pointed out to me) is an art form, too. I'm so glad I won't be alone again this year at AEDM. BTW, this is Day 2 of AEDM and I created a link party for my monthly Second on the 2nd.
BTW, I have done absolutely NOTHING with that loom I made last year. It's still sitting collecting dust in my craft room.

Now it's time for you to link your second look on the 2nd. The rules are quite simple. All you have to do is bring back a post that you are especially proud of, or one you shared before anyone knew your blog existed. Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable. The only condition is it must have been published sometime in the past. Then link below and Bleubeard and I, along with other Second on the 2nd friends, will be by to visit. Please be aware this link is only open for five days, so linking on the 2nd is preferred.

You are so talented I am sure you could draw a pear. The apple works too. Love seeing your previous works of art. Have a great Saturday.
I got a kick out of your faux pear. I love the quiltlet and the pretty colours of the apple against the neutral background. I really enjoyed seeing your output from last year’s AEDM - wonderful stuff to see all together. I am looking forward to seeing what else you make this November!
Great page Elizabeth! That apple is gorgeous!

I love the apple page! Your Art Every Day Month pics are an inspiration for me to keep going - I don't know whether I will be able to post every day though! Hugs Chrisx
Its a super apple stamp and a lovely page. It was good to see your collection of art work from last year as well.

Lovely post and great stamping. Your collections are gorgeous. I have been away so apart from scheduled posts, I am now back in action and catching up. Sorry to read of your internet issues...seems bad.xx
Great textures you've created here!
It´s not a pear but a peach, and I guess you´ll laugh :-)
Oh. I still have 100 years Gallipoli right by my PC, a pressie I got in 2015 from a professor I call my friend :-)
I love your book page apple - the multi-coloured stamping works perfectly - and the lettering makes a great background. Lovely to see how much creativity was flowing last year, and wishing you luck with this year's challenge. I'll be cheering from the sidelines (no way I can manage every day this month, sadly!).

So much to see … lovely :)
All the best Jan
As I told Erika, I don't know why all the "everyday" or big challenges (like Art Every Day or NaNoWriMo for writers) are in November, which is a bit of a crazy month for a lot of people! But hats off to you. And yes, photography IS an art!
Thanks, as always, for every visit and wonderful comment you make on my blog. I wish you could come to Southern Exposure too!
