T STands For Pancakes For a Good Cause

After nearly a week of being offline, I believe I am back.  I'll be by as time allows.  I've already started visiting a few so far and will continue to do so as I can and time allows.

Last Tuesday when I couldn't get on the internet, I got very frustrated.  I called my foodie friend Sally and I asked her to take me to Sam's (the wholesale members-only equivalent of WalMart.  She has a membership there.

Right after we walked in, I found the refrigerator/freezer of my dreams.  Everything I wanted: a double door top refrigerator with moveable shelves, and two freezers on the bottom also with re-positional shelving.

Sally was quick to point out this was more than likely top of the line.  Those are U.S. dollars!

As I was shopping, I turned the corner and found this.  I immediately thought of my internet friend Divers and Sundry.

She is ALWAYS finding the number 42.  I was so surprised, I had to take a close-up!  I finally found a 42, also!

For those of you who don't get the significance, 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.   The phrase is from "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy."

Then I talked Sally into going to Free Pancake Day at IHOP.

We both ordered a breakfast and got three free pancakes, too.

We both had water with our meals.

At the end of the meal, we both gave three dollars each to Children's Miracle Network.  It was definitely free pancakes for a good cause.  I told Bleubeard he contributed, but all he (and Squiggles) got was kibble I bought at Sam's!

It's now time for you to share your own drink related post.  It can be gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.   Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

Today (Tuesday, March 19), is double kibble day.  Please click on the free kibble shown on my right sidebar and whether you guess right or wrong, you have still donated 20 pieces of kibble to needy dogs and 20 pieces of kibble to cats.  You can also donate a scoop of litter just by clicking on the kitty in the litter box.

That is a refrigerator of dreams, I think I would have to move house to have space for one that size, never mind the loan that would be needed to cover the cost. Its good to dream.
Its a lovely idea to have the free Pancake day, I'm sure everyone would willingly donate for this good cause.
Happy T day wishes Elizabeth and its good that you have got your internet back. I hope it continues to go well for you.

Hoorah for the 42! I'm saving it to post. Thx!!!

You can't go wrong with pancakes, and "free" sounds like the perfect breakfast. That fridge would, I think, be too big to fit in my kitchen. Wow!

I'm glad your internet is back up. I swear I don't know why they're not managed like the utilities they are :(

So I guess you didn't buy the $50,000 peso fridge, Elizabeth. Actually it would probably cost even more in our local Sam's Club - even though it may have been made in Mexico for export. It is gorgeous though.

I'll be looking for Popcorn Indiana popcorn in our local Sam's. I haven't seen it yet; but now I know to keep and eye out ;-)

Happy T-day! Eileen xx

I'm so glad you got your internet back. You seem to have problems regularly. How annoying.
That fridge: what a beauty! Yes, that is exactly the fridge I wanted for my new flat downstairs, but I was not prepaired to take out another mortgage, so we settled for a tradiotional fridge.
Pancakes for charity. That is a good idea, and such a worthy cause by the sounds of it. Well done Sally, Elizabeth and Bluebeard!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Internet woes are so frustrating especially when business and correspondence are conducted on-line. Glad to hear you got your Internet back. That fridge looks awesome though I'm not sure it would fit in my dollhouse. So cool to find 42. I've been looking but haven't found the number, yet. IHop and pancakes are a sweet treat and the donation you made was for a worthy cause, indeed. Happy T Day.

We'd have to remodel our kitchen for one of the new fridges to even fit...that's why I covered mine in dictionary pages. :)
Happy T day!

That refrigerator looks like the works. I love that it has two freezer spaces. I could always use more freezer space.

that is some refrigerator- and some price to match!! How frustrating to have such lengthy and repeated internet issues. Hope it's solved and the problems are a thing of the past. Good way to get rid of those frustrations by going out with a friend, window shopping, and having a nice meal. Happy T day!

That was a great deal on the pancakes and with your donation everybody wins. I would have to build a new kitchen to accommodate that refrigerator. The one we have is big enough.

Wow, that fridge looks amazing but I think it would take up a lot of my kitchen space ...lol 😉. Nice to find a 42 on your travels, I bet Drivers and Sundry will be delighted too! That's such a great way to support charity and I bet those pancakes were delicious - yum! Wishing you a very happy T Day! J 😊 x

Great looking refrigerator. I used to go to Sam's Club, but they closed all but 1 of them in Connecticut, and the one remaining is too far for me to go to. Nice photos of your breakfast. I'm glad you finally have internet again. Happy T-Day!

Glad you internet is up and running again Elizabeth!
That fridge looks fabulous, when ours broke down a few years ago we almost bought a similar one, but we thought it was too expensive, so went for a cheaper model.
Free pancakes, I don't think anyone could say no :)

You know I love my freebies, so it was cool to see that you guys took advantage of IHOP's special, and enjoyed it. It I ever hit the lottery, that fridge is definitely yours! It looks truly amazing for sure. It's one thing if you want to be offline, but it's truly the pits if you have to be offline due to technical issues! Glad you're back! Hugs...RO

If you're looking for a frig I might suggest looking at those big box hardware stores and seeing if they are moving any of their floor models off the floor. We got ours that way and it was my dream frig marked down to the price or a regular old frig. I even negotiated them down another $200. And Oh pancakes. Those sound yummy. Hugs-Erika

Oh, I love the refrigerator. I made the mistake of buying one with the freezer on top, which I will not repeat when it comes time to replace it.

Coincidentally, I just bought a new steel stove, but worry about the need to always remove fingerprints. Love the look, but not the fuss of cleaning. "White" wasn't available, so I will have to deal with it.
