The Children's Garden
Today I am back with an Art Journal Journey spread honoring Yvonne from Meggy's Way's theme which is A World of Fantasy.
I call this one The Children's Garden.
Here are a few closeups.
For this entry, I started with a napkin I fused to freezer paper awhile back. I sewed the napkin assembly to a sheet of 110 lb card stock which was shorter than the napkin. Because I used freezer paper, the napkin lost its transparency. That's when I decided to add the TH children and dog dolls. I positioned them on the fantasy flowers using pop dots. Then I wrote the title using a white gel pen.
Because both Susi and Yvonne asked, I am also adding this entry to Try it on Tuesday with their Childhood theme.
Thank you for visiting. The incredibly loyal Bleubeard and I are delighted you chose to spend some time here today and hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey AND Try it on Tuesday.

Wow - the perfect use of this beautiful napkin and I LOVE how you arranged the children and dog on it! And the special great touch is the sewing! What a fantastic make dear Dr.E.!
You should definitely link this wowser to Try It On Tuesday "Childhood" as well! Would be great my friend!
A simply gorgeous entry for AJJ - World of Fantasy!
Superb!
Happy day, answered your emal already!
Hugs, Susi
I think you made a really smart move putting this napkin on freezer paper. It makes it look like a chalkboard, and those white flowers look like chalk. That makes a really cool page. And clever. Although I think most schools have whiteboards now, for some reason I think chalk board and kids. Nice work my friend! Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika
I Love this page, it is a fabulous napkin background, I thought you had painted it when I first looked. The sewing is a super way to frame the page, the TH children and dog are fantastic additions. They look comfortable and happy to be in their garden
I hope you will add this to TioT' s as well Elizabeth it is a wonderful page for both the themes.

You really come up with some brilliant ideas with the use of paper, and it's so amazing! Freezer Paper? Yay! I Love it all! Hugs..RO
Fun fantasy page. I love the kids sitting on top of the flowers. Makes me think of the animals on a spring you sometimes see at play parks.
Very creative use of the napkin and a perfect fit for the challenge. I really like this one.
Love the black and white images of the young children. Great pages Elizabeth.
Absolutely gorgeous page, Elizabeth. And a lovely theme. Kisses, my friend.
I especially love how you reached beyond the edge of the piece, but I love the way you arranged the elements here. You chose the perfect title too :)
♥♥♥ Thank you for linking to Try It On Tuesday as well dear Elizabeth!

So appealing! It fits the theme perfectly, and there is so much to look at. Well done.
I love how you interpreted this in black and white instead of going all out with color. With the b/w, much as with photography, you see details I think would get lost in a mass of yellows and blues. The children stand out so well. It has a wonderful feeling, very sweet but not cloying, magical but not twee. This is really lovely -- all the elements work so well together.
If I had got here earlier I would have suggested it for TIOT too! Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind day and today hasn't been much better!!! However I love this so much (having caught a glimpse in my sidebar) and I thank you so much for linking to TIOT! It really is a striking page! Hugs, Chrisx
OMGosh, this is fabulous, Elizabeth! Do all children dream of being in a huge flower garden like this? One of my favorite childhood Golden books was Thumbelina. Your little girl reminds me of her - the way the flower above sort of makes her cap.
Wooowww I adore this Art journal page Elizabeth !! It ´s really GORGEOUS !! love this childrens garden, love this napkin, and the dog is so cute !! Great !
Very nice new week ! big hugs, Caty
