T Stands For Coffee Love

I am blessed to have blogger friends who I admire.  Today I took a page out of Alison's (Craftytrog) play book.  Granted, Alison uses tea bags in her art, but I don't have any of those fabulous round tea bags, and if I did, it would take me forever to fill a page with them.  Instead, I am truly blessed I can drink coffee, which I love and it provides me with the required amount of caffeine I need each day.

Susi sent me these hearts,

so I had to use them to show my love of coffee and our friendship.

I started with a used coffee filter, but should not have washed it.  When I did, I fear most of the coffee color was lost.

Yes, I am blessed because I LOVE coffee and coffee loves me.

For this page, I started with a used coffee filter on which I sewed two gifted ribbons and two lengths of my hand dyed lacy hem tape.  To the hem tape, I added two buttons.  To finish the piece, I stamped my T Tuesday cups. Lastly, I added the coffee sentiment.

But wait, please.  Look at all those incredible postage stamps from Yvonne (Meggymay) and Eileen (The Artful Crafter).  Those are gifts I always appreciate when I get mail.  You'll never catch me using metered mail and I love it when others don't either.

Eileen's gift arrived a mere three hours before T time, so I had to update the post. Those little peppers, which I had a time picking up, fell out of the envelope, but what got me was the stencil Eileen sent that is wrapped in yummy washi tape.

I LOVE this poem and also my tea cup ATC, which is MY color, too.

Next is the lovely teapot and cup from Yvonne.  What a generous gift.

But the beautiful ATC wasn't the only thing she sent.  Yvonne sent some of the most beautiful napkins like the ones she is famous for using in her own art.  I couldn't believe how blessed I was!  Now I just have to learn to cut them, rather than stroking and fondling them!

Now that you know how blessed I am, it's your turn to share a drink related post.  Feel free to discuss anything. Your post may include ATCs, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Then, please link your story below.  The photos don't have to be taken on Tuesday, and can relate to anything with a drink.  Please use the direct link to your T post, not your blog in general, so we can find you easily.

Bleubeard and I are thrilled (and blessed) you chose to spend T time with us today and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey, too.

Yvonne's ATC is gorgeous! It's so elegant. And she sent you my favorite napkin too. Even though I don't drink coffee, I love that napkin for the art.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

A wonderful page celebrating friendship and of course coffee,
tea for me please I noticed a spare cup and saucer I love how you used the coffee filter and the detail draws the eye into the page, the hearts are so delicate and pretty.
The poem from Eileen is lovely and so is the sentiment on the super ATC.
I had to plead with our post office to add stamps to the packet, but I won the day when I explained they would be appreciated.
Have fun using the napkins.
Happy T day wishes Elizabeth and a hello to Bleubeard and Squiggles as well.
Yvonne xx

First of all, you got some fabulous mail. Eileen made you a gorgeous ATC and you are lucky lady to get some of Yvonne's wonderful napkins. And I love your art page and the fact you used a coffee filter. That is a really unique idea. :) Your page came out great and I love the idea of making a peace sign too and how you made it. Perfect for T day and a great unique way to do it. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

You could do two comments on my blog, and the one with a way to get in touch with you, I would not publish. My comments are moderated.

What a fun page! I like your homage to coffee - even though I’m now a tea drinker, I used to love coffee before it started to disagree with me. I’m very thankful I didn’t have to give up tea too! And what lovely gifts you received. I’m so happy to see that your postal workers didn’t deface your stamps this time! I hope whoever thought that was a great rule has retired or moved on. I am looking forward to seeing how you use those beautiful napkins.

It's just so amazing how you come up with all these crafty ideas from things most of us take for granted, and I really enjoy it. I'm a coffee, frappuccino and tea drinker, so all this talk of caffeine made me quite happy. The artwork is so lovely and creative!I also really like looking at the different designs and details on teacups, and have started collecting a few. Hugs and Happy Wednesday! RO
