T Stands for Wichita Art Musuem Cafe

My apologies.  My internet was down for over two hours and I didn't realize I hadn't published my T post this week.   Shortly after publishing a comment to Johanna, the whole network went down.

As promised, my foodie friend Sally and I went to the Wichita Art Museum Cafe known as the Muse.

Upon entering the building, I took a photo of what I thought used to be what was being shown in the various galleries.  Now it's honoring those who contribute sizable sums of money to keep the museum open.

This was the first time we had been to the Muse when it wasn't packed to the rafters with patrons.  Note my water with lemon.

I admit I got a little artsy when I took photos of my water.  I just enjoyed seeing how cold the water looked.

While waiting for our food, I decided to take a few photos out the window.  Unfortunately, the table reflected into the glass.

Looking at the river is always cooling.

Unfortunately, it's far too hot outside to sit on the bench that the museum provided in this area.

There's often someone sitting in this reserved for large groups area, but on this day, I was able to take a photo of the empty room.

Even the restaurant looked bare for a change

That gave me the chance to grab a menu  and take a photo of the selections.

We had never been to the Muse on Saturday before, so we both picked the egg white omelet from the brunch special.

I wasn't too happy with the sauce the omelet and potato patty were swimming in, or the fact we didn't get a spoon,

but the veggies were fabulous.

Now it's your turn to share a drink related post.  Your post may include photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Please share your direct link below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.

Please don't forget next Tuesday is our 5th Anniversary T Party.  Along with a drink, feel free to bring your virtual party hats and noise blowers.

What fabulous views around the museum! Shame it was too hot to sit outside! (Still hot here BTW!) The menu looks to have a good choice -I can see several dishes that I would like! Happy T day! Chrisx

What lovely surroundings at the museum! Too bad it was too hot to enjoy outdoors. Our heat wave has gone for a bit and tho it is hot it is NOT so humid-that I can deal with. Love the artsy shot of your water glass- I can just feel the refreshing coolness:) That's a nice menu- I immediately spotted the vegetarian pita quesadilla as my pick, but yours looks so good too. Love the stenciling? down the wall in the large group area! Wishing you happy T day, and will see you at the party next week!

I really like this museum, how nice you could dine without lots of people. Your plate looks good. I love the shot of your very cold glass of water.
Happy T Day Kathy

Whee! I am so excited about next week! My ATC is done! :) Great photos of the museum. I am sorry your food was swimming in sauce and no spoon either! I agree, too hot. I think today will be the only day I walk as it is only getting hotter and also more humid, which is even worse. Happy T Day!

The museum grounds look lovely. Too bad it was too hot to enjoy outside. I like the way you photograped your lemon water. Lots to choose on the menu and reasonably priced, too. Happy T Day

A lovely view over the grounds of the museum from the restaurant. The meal you chose looks delicious, I think I wouldn't have liked that amount of sauce either in an egg based meal, your iced lemon water does look refreshing to drink on a hot day.
Happy T day wishes.

p.s. 22 days left with my arm splints, I will be counting the days.

This museum seems to be located in a lovely area. And the MUSE looks good - I like your meal and I would be interested what kind of flavour that sauce was - tomatoe or maybe sweet peppers ?
This water really looks extremly cold.
I can tell you that I can't drink too cold - I always like drinking warm things even though it is hot outside. I don't know why but my body likes to drink warm. And yes I am more the "I am cold" feeling kind of girl, so a warm drink is better for me.
Sorry to hear about the internet brake down! Good luck for this and have a wonderful week my dear artsy friend and Co.-Admin!
Hugs, Susi

That picturesque view outside may have caused them to kick me out of the cafe after staring all day.(lol) I love the cafe look, but they sure could have used more cheeseburger recipes to honor me, Elizabeth!(lol) However, I am fond of cranberry chicken salad. Your pictures really gave us a perfect day of fun. Hugs...RO

Glad you got your internet network back in fairly short order, Elizabeth. The views outside the Muse are lovely. Nice to sit inside and enjoy them in the air-conditioned comfort of the restaurant. I liked that the prices on the menu looked reasonable and there was a good selection. Next time, you'll know to ask for the sauce on the side or leave it off completely. That potato patty must have gotten pretty soggy.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

Yeah i'm not so sure i would have liked the sauce either.. especially since it didn't mention it on the menu.. When your paying for food who likes surprises like that?? The prices seem pretty good too for being at the museum.. Loved seeing all your photos... Happy T day! Hugs! deb

We’ve stopped for lunch as we are driving through Newfoundland and we r waiting for pizza so I thought I would stop by. I think the sauce on the omelet is a little
Weird too. Did it taste good? It sure looks fancy. You would like the temperature here as it is only in the 50s with a lot of ocean wind I had to buy a winter hat as it feels cold and I didn’t bring one with me. 😀. Thanks for sharing your breakfast at the fancy art museum it looks gourmet 😀. Hope you aren’t too too. Maybe I can send you some cooler weather. 😀. Happy t day my friend hugs erika

Hi Elizabeth,
That museum looks very modern and clean. The gardens are beautiful. It must have been very relaxing to overlook them while eating your lunch. Those veggies sound delicious although I am with you, I don't particularity like my food swimming in sauce.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Love the photos of the outside space, the gardens would be lovely to sit in on a cooler day perhaps! Why was the omelette swimming in sauce... that didn't look good at all... :(

Well it all looked good, except that sauce, who wants that. Nice grounds. Too bad it is too hot to enjoy. An October day would be perfect. We are at 92F now which is super hot for us. Back around 80 for the next week except one day. I'll take it. The ocean water is around 66, warm enough to swim which I might just do tomorrow, ready for some salty water. I am inside, with the portable air conditioner in my studio drinking French Roast...xox
