Here are my collages for Week 29. This 365 something project was created in part and hosted by
Hanna at
i Hanna.
Additionally, for the remainder of this month, I will be sharing my Index Cards
or ICADs that are hosted by Tammy at Daisy Yellow. The collage cards will always come first and the ICADs will
be second.
In case you missed them,
here are Week 28's cards. As I'm sure you know by now, I post every Monday morning for the
previous week. All my collages are 4" X 4" (10,16 cm X 10,16 cm) all my index cards are 3 x 5 inches (76.2 x 127 mm).
For this week I once again worked in a series, this time honoring Squiggles, who turned three on Tuesday, the 17th.

making. Please let me know if you like any of these. As always, I am
extremely grateful for your continued support of both projects.

Beautiful collages and ICADs Happy Birthday to Squiggles. Valerie
I always enjoy your monday posts great collages
I guess I am bad at explaining too sorry about that-we did use real woods-they were soaking in jars before we strained them off and into those dye pots-one has to soak them for a week or two in alchohol or water for at least a couple weeks. I forgot to take photos of some of those-they were either chips of the inner wood, some heart of the wood depending on what it was, and some were saw dust. the little bags are full of all of my samples of yarn we got to take home with us she had counted out little samples for each of us and those all went into each dye pot-and then she gave us each a sample at end of class
yes we did get an evaluation sheet and a place to comment more as well. there were only 6 of us in that sunday class and only three got to the weaving stage-that is pretty bad for an all day class don's know if any one else will say anything but I did
I should have looked at my photos first-if you look at the photos with the dye pots on the hot plates-in some of them you will see the jars with the woods left in the jar after strained-I will go and add to my post that the little bags are my yarn samples to make that more clear thanks
They are all great Elizabeth, but my favourites would be the ones with the cats of course :)
Thanks for reposting the mural and street art on Monday Murals, much appreciated.

You've taken hearts in so many directions and yet you keep finding cool ways to represent them. Nice creative work. I love all the kitty pictures too. You found a great way to combine them with a super background paper. Hope you day is sunnier than mine. Hugs-Erika
First of all, happy BD Squiggles! Love the cat cards you made in honour if his special day. The titles of the banana label cards made me laugh out loud! I love them all. Your ICADs are all lovely - I especially like the ones with stitching, and the last one, which reminds me of birthday candles. We’re on the home stretch for ICADs now!
Happy Birthday Squiggles, he is one beautiful furry friend.
I loved the heart cards as well, especially the one with the heart candle flames.

I like Day 48 best today. The quote is inspiring, the background striking, and those hearts are the perfect "finish" :) Do you ever frame these or display them?

Well, you couldn't have a better subject for your challenge than the adorable Squiggles! How I love that sweet face.
And your hearts. You really do hearts better than almost anyone I know. I especially love the candle flames. I might have to try something like that in watercolor for fun!
