I'm once again joining Jo at Let's Art Journal, our host this month at Art Journal Journey whose theme is flora and fauna. I'm also joining my friends at Moo-Mania & More because this fits their flower theme.
I created this in my large art journal with left over pink printer/copier paper from my recycle bin.
The sentiment, which I colored with my watercolor crayons, reads "On paper, things can live forever. On paper, a butterfly never dies."
I sewed everything on this page with the exception of the leaves, which I first colored, then used a punch to add a bit of interest to the butterfly and flower.
German text on the left was paired with some of my hand painted paper. 
Other foreign text was used to create a tag, to which I added more flowers and a portion of the original focal image.

I love this page-the stitching, the spring pink, the quote, the beautiful butterfly. It is perfect for the weather I am having-all our fruit trees and spring blooms are out and everything is greening up. Sorry to once again hear about your internet. I really like your layout, and the butterfly looks as if it could fly off the page! I need to take the hint to try more stitching by machine since hand stitching is still hard for me, and I’m tiring of using glue. Thanks for visiting my blog!
