More birthday celebrations

I can't believe my good fortunes.  Even more wonderful friends have sent lovely gifts.  I'm sharing them with you for T this Tuesday.

Back left are gifts from Chris, my coffee, back right gifts from Cindy, and front left are gifts from RO!  Behind my coffee are two paintings by Susi I am still fondling from last week.

Wonderful things from Chris, which she explained would be late so she could include something from London.  WORTH THE WAIT, Chris.  Tags, tags, tags  depicting France and the world, a hand made tag, some textured cloth, an envelope with real postage stamps, and a card.   She explains how it was made in this blog post.

These gifts are from my friend RO!  36 sheets of decorated paper, a pad of butterflies, that I envision can be used for journaling, some double sided tape, an adorable birthday card, and a Genius at Work sign.  I can't imagine that is me, but I won't doubt her word (grin).

RO! also pointed me to a blog called Tea Rain Dreams and an artist named Lissa who was having what she called An Unpopular Giveaway, in which she was giving some incredible prizes and I won one.  I got to pick a piece of art valued at up to $40.00.  It is on its way, so you will have to wait until I receive it.  Many of you will recognize the artist who made it.  To say I'm over the moon with happiness is an understatement.  And it's all because of RO! and Lissa.

My final gift is from Cindy.  Note the postage stamps on the envelope.  They were not canceled, but there was a cancellation from Wichita on the envelope.  Not sure where it had been, but it arrived in Wichita last week.  Cindy sent this adorable card and this darling cat postcard.  She told me I could use it in my art or send it on to a friend.  Sorry, Cindy, it's going with my other art, because I love it.

BTW, Cindy and I would like to remind everyone about ICADs or Index Card a Day during June and July.  I haven't decided if I'm going to just make ICADs or both my 4" X 4" (10,16 cm X 10,16 cm) cards and ICADs during those two months.

I had intended for this post to be shorter than it was, but I'm a bit long winded today.  Obviously now it's your turn to join the T party.  You may share photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, teabags, teapots, cups and saucers, mugs, scrapbooking, or any other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink. Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time.

I want to thank all the recent questions people have been asking, and want to reiterate when you ask a question, I will return to YOUR BLOG with the answer, since I realize, if you are like me, you don't have time to return here to see if I've answered it on my blog.

Lovely gifts! I’m glad you liked my card and cat card from Venice. Also glad the postage stamps arrived unharmed so you can use them in your art. I can’t remember when I sent it but I thought it would arrive before your BD. Maybe it took a detour. We'll never know

I really thought I would be linking this week - I had a post all but ready and no connection to finish it or post! It was finally restored - only to be on and off for a while after! It was a local fault as I was speaking to others here last night - we had a Fish and Chip evening - the chef here cooks the most divine fish in batter! I loved seeing your gifts! It looks as though you are going to be busy and once again I will be too busy myself to join you in the ICAD challenge! Hoping to use the post I wrote to schedule next week! Hugs, Chrisx
