Keys, please

Many of you have seen the keys I altered a couple of years ago.

I decided to do something similar this year.

I have SO many old keys, this is always a fun way to recycle and repurpose them.  They make great gifts for my friends, too.  And because they are recycled, I'm also joining Try it on Tuesday where their theme this fortnight is Recycle Something.

This clock actually works and it is getting a pin back.  It is a gift for my friend Sally, whose birthday I completely forgot two weeks ago.

The other four will be necklaces.

These pieces are part of the wonderful gifts I won when Gaby had her giveaway.  There are actually two different pieces on this key.

Three snowflakes were used on this key.  These would be great to wear at Christmas, I think.

Two pieces were paired together to decorate this key.  After measuring a small pin back, I'm going to turn this one into a pin, also.

I may keep this one for myself, since I'm such a big fan of Paris.  Two pieces were used to decorate this key, too.

I feel I should have removed the black plastic because it was detrimental to showing these keys.

This is Day 11 of 22 and I recycled five used keys and several disparate or junk jewelry pieces.

Thank you again for following me on this journey of recycling this month.   Today, you will once again find me at Try it on Tuesday, too.

That is a brilliant idea. I didn't see your earlier post (I don't believe) because I think I would have remembered this. I think turning them into pins or necklaces is smart because they are very wearable. I like them all but the working watch one is especially clever. Nice recycling. Happy Wednesday. Hugs-Erika

How interesting to use old keys in this way. They make lovely ornaments or pins or necklace drops or... It's endless, isn't it!

I love these! They're absolutely beautiful. It would be a great thing to do for the keys we currently use too, to tell them apart. Or an abbreviated version thereof.

To say these are beautiful doesn't really cover my love of these pieces! I still haven't attempted making anything of my key mountain even though when I see the transformation you make inspires me so! Thank you for making these gorgeous pieces of jewellery for Try It On Tuesday! Hugs,Chrisx
