March complete and April ready in my never ending calendar and more

I'm once again joining Rosie at Rosie's Kleine Bastelwelt this month's host at Art Journal Journey with her Spring theme.

This is my final entry for the month of March, although there is still time for you to share a Spring inspired journal page.

Today I created funky spring flowers.

I rotated the image so you could see the sentiment which reads, "Funky flowers bloom in spring."

I created this in my challenges altered book using one of my shaving cream paper backgrounds.  The flowers were spray mists I spritzed on paper, then cut into various funky shapes.  I used a green metallic gel pen to create the stems, leaves, and sentiment.  Because the flowers didn't show up as well as I had hoped, I outlined them with my blue metallic gel pen.

And because I need to get my calendar on my blog before April, here is March's.

March saw several internet woes and keyboard problems (which I still seem to have, by the way).  It also brought cold and sunshine.  The tulips and roses I decorated March with were definitely wishful thinking.  The shamrock was on a card my friend RO sent me.  I removed it and used it for St. Patrick's Day.  The washi tape indicating spring came from a shopping spree with my friend Kathy.    Feel free to attempt to read my boring life.  Even I can't tell what I wrote some days!

April is ready to be written in, although I seem to have made a bit of a mess with my ink.

I genuinely appreciate you spending time with me today.    Thank you beyond belief for your continued support of my art and for not laughing TOO hard at my wimpy calendar pages.  Today, you will find me at Art Journal JourneyHope to see you there, too.

Well done with the calendar again - that's no mess on the April page that are just the colors that now will appear for spring!

Your funky flowers are wonderful! I love the shaving foam background that you created, at first I thought it was flower petals as the pretty colours remind me of spring blooms - beautiful 😁. Wishing you a lovely weekend filled with happiness! J 😊 x

Hopefully you're feeling much better and the computer problems a thing of the past. Bloggers without computers are like cheeseburgers without the cheese, and I feel your pain. I need that gel pen right now Elizabeth because it really makes the page pop! Clever idea to use that shamrock for something else. I like when we can use stuff for multiple reasons. I've been struggling with an infection and car troubles, but thank goodness the car part is finally resolved. I'll keep you updated on the other. Happy Saturday and Happy Spring. Sending some hugs your way! RO

First of all I love your journal page today. It is a different style for you and without sounding like you wrote to me, I love it because it is different. You do have a nice range of talents and I like that. Those are very cool flowers. I also like your calendar and I don't think your life is boring. Going to work every day (M-F) as I do gets boring sometimes. Wishing I could get up and make art but then instead I have go to work. Sometimes work is good, sometimes it is not. I think I am getting in the mindset to retire and live a more "boring" life. Anyhow, before I write a novel, enjoyed your calendar for most particularly not boring life. At least not any more boring than mine. Happy Saturday my dear friend. Hugs-Erika

Your wonky flowers made me smile. They just scream fun!. You were busy this month. I like the shamrock for St. Patrick's Day and the wishful thinking flowers. I've been wishful thinking beside you. Hope your computer and keyboard woes clear up soon. Have a Happy Easter and give your boys headbutts from me =^..^=

You had another busy month and it was good to see your next Month ready to be filled, as I am sure it will be and a bit of ink and colour always looks good to me.
Have a good weekend.

I love your funky flowers! They are abstract and so much fun. I’m sure the metallic elements make them even more wonderful in person. Well done keeping your calendar up to date. Do you ever look back in it? I am not very good at keeping a calendar other than my work one that lives on my computer.
