T Stands For Going Over To The Dark Side

I'd like to begin by saying I've been lulled into this post after visiting my friend Ro (In the Know With Ro) who recently wrote about her love of hamburgers.  To be honest with you, I never cared for hamburger meat even when I was a meat eater.  But now, it's almost a sin.

So what drew me to Bionic Burger the other day still confounds me.  I was simply amazed I wanted a hamburger.  But, like an addict who can't say no to that next "fix," I couldn't shake my desire for a greasy three patty Bionic Burger.  I had the good sense to drink water with it, at least.

As soon as I got it, I had to take a few photos.   There was no way I was going to be able to pick it up, but at least I could show the three,

yes, count them, three greasy (see the grease under my fingernail in the photo above?) patties that make up 1/2 pound of hamburger.

Just the way I like it, too: mustard, pickle, and grilled onions.  Eat your heart out, Ro.

I still have no idea why I became obsessed with a hamburger, except possibly the idea of having grilled onions, but I have to admit, although it may look hard to eat, it was really, really delicious.  Don't worry, though.  I haven't given up my vegetarian ways.  I just won't be having another one of these for --------- let's see --------------------- probably in my lifetime.

After I ate, I took a few photos of just a few of the signs in the establishment.  I'll save them for next time, though, because right now, I'm not here and won't be around for most of this day.  So now it's up to you.

It's time to share your drink related post this week.  It can be photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, teabags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink. Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time.

I loved your trip to the dark side. That burger looked very heavy on the meat, I think one layer would have been enough for me. However I was pleased you enjoyed it and I am quite fancying one myself with fried onions.
I have a vegetarian friend who is always tempted to the aroma of fried bacon.
I just don't know how she never gives in and eats a rasher when her husband is cooking bacon.
Happy T day wishes.

I have chicken a few times a year and have cravings for tuna that I indulge, as well. But my craving, even moreso than a cheeseburger, that I have been ignoring for a couple of years is bacon--LOL! As long as it is infrequent..what the heck. I've never claimed to be a 100% vegetarian, but I'm close. We know you are usually much better than I am. ;)

Wow. You must have been needing some protein or else some fat in your diet to crave a burger. I am with Kathy that our bodies tell us what we need but giving us those cravings. That is pretty amazing that you wanted a hamburger. Now I love a really good burger, even though I usually only eat them in the summer and don't want them in the cooler weather. if you can't explain that craving, I don't know. Except maybe since it is hot you had the same craving I get for them in the summer. But glad you enjoyed it. It was a really"different" T day post for you, and that is always fun. Hugs-Erika

I have about two burgers a year, special occasions. I don't think I've ever had one with three patties though. Sometimes we just have to give in and get over it, LOL!

I know you aren't a super strict veggie but I was surprised that you were craving a burger! :)

Wow! I am surprised indeed. The burger does look good - and a good burger (rather than a mass produced not-really-meat-from-you-know-where) can be a good thing! Glad you enjoyed it and fixed your craving!!

I take a "Cheese"burger once or twice a year -exactly a Happy Meal for kids at MC.D. is what I then take !

Happy T-Day!

Wow! I've only been away a month and look what happens, lol! You're eating a Burger! Good for you! If you crave it, eat it!
I am not a vegetarian but I must admit I do not eat burgers. They don't appeal to me. (I am one of the few people that have never eaten at McDonalds).
Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the eatery where this historic-never-again-in-your-lifetime event took place.
Happy T-Day

Hi Elizabeth,

In answer to your question on my blog: yes, I would be delighted if you added by blog to your sidebar.

I guess I'm in the minority of your blog readers. I love hamburgers. I love Five Guys Little Bacon Cheeseburger. Three patties would have been a little much for me, but I would have tried. Looks delicious.

Not a fan of hamburgers, although I eat meat, I don't eat much. I can't even remember the last time I had an hamburger at McDonald's, must have been quite a few years...

That burger looks really great!!!! We love burgers here and eat them too often I'm sure. I did go vegetarian once for a couple of years but just missed my meat too much . Thanks for stopping by my blog too ♥

I don't think I could eat a hamburger. I haven't had meat in over twenty years. I don't think I could even eat the meat that is grown in a petri dish. Once in awhile it sounds good but most of the time...not. I keep thinking I'd like a veggie Big Mac. grin.

Oh my Dr. E! I was a vegetarian for almost 20 years and one day I woke up and said, I am done, it is time to have a steak, and I have been a meat eater ever since! Mind you, we are talking mostly chicken and fish, but that steak was really good! I imagine your burger was fun too!! Happy Tea day..x

Wow! I'm just gonna take a quick moment to pat myself on the back because I love seeing my name in print, particularly if there's a cheeseburger attached to it! I thank you so much! Of course, I love the pics, and am thrilled that you decided to give in to the dark side. While I've been raving about cheeseburgers, I've been noticing that many, many people are no longer eating meat these days. But try as I might, I can't give them up. It's 10:02 pm, and I'm ready to pull out a cheeseburger for my midnight snack. (lol) Hugs....and you're just the bestest! RO

Sometimes the dark side is a good place to be. You don't have to stay there, but it's nice to go now and then!

I'm trying to catch up here -- bad week. But I have to say your comments on my two recent posts -- Southern Exposure, Halloween and the Gatsby gala -- just made me feel so good. Thank you. I think it is SO COOL that your grandmother taught you the Charleston. It is sort of a happy, joyous dance, isn't it?!

Well, I had my post scheduled just fine, and then Tuesday and Wednesday have both gone by with me not remembering T Tuesday at all :( Ah, the joys of a retired life, where one day is like another.... But I completely missed all the fun!

whoa!! sorry I was so booked with places to be last week, I missed the hamburger post! I'm thinking, wait...I thought she is vegetarian? LOL...well, you took care of your craving but holy cow...three patties!? you always keep us guessing dear E...never a dull moment.

I came to this post to see if a link for Lorraine's blog was here...but no. Her link up for the week of 10/24 isn't working...
