ICADs for July 3 through 9

For Day 33, I decided to create another musical entry.

Day 34 honors the USA's independence.

On Day 35, I created a collage using a cake plate from a magazine and a pastry, found in a different magazine.  It took forever to align the two sides of the pastry and place it on the plate.

Day 36 provided me with a bit of humor as I created the three kings using punches and computer generated text I colored using watercolor crayons (thanks Cindy for the gift that keeps on giving).  These were placed over a painted background.

I wanted to use some washi tape, so for Day 37 I overlapped it on the card.  I paired it with stamped wording.

On Day 38, I found this wonderful quote by Oscar Hammerstein and attached it to some vintage sheet music.

I seem to be stuck using the same colors in my backgrounds, so for Day 39 I decided to sew a piece of scrapbook paper that looked like a map to the card.  To that I added the butterfly sticker and the computer generated text I colored using pigment ink that matched the background.

I thought I would share my completed ICADs for June, created in mosaic form.  It's easier to share a month at a time, instead of waiting until the end and trying to play catch-up.

Once again, I appreciate your continued support of my ICADs because this is the only place you will find them.

Such fun cards this week. I loved the cake on the plate. I thought that image came from the same source. And the We 3 Kings made me laugh. Thanks for starting my week off with a chuckle. Putting the cards together looks like a quilt. Enjoy your day.

I love all of these but day 38 is probably my favourite. The mosaic format works really well and I love the variety.

Not sure which is my favorite, the above the fray, down the street around the corner or the cake one. Using a twinkie (or twinkie like cake) was the perfect pick.Great ICADS. How do you think of those things? Happy Monday.

Wonderful mosaic Dr. E! I particularly like the fabric with the staple, so cool! It is so easy to get stuck on one thing isn't it? background color, technique, whatever!! x

You are creating such variety of ICADs! You may say you are using the same colours but when you see them like this it makes such a co-ordinated set! Hugs, Chrisx

Elizabeth, these are fun. I love the collage (I typed coolage but I guess it's that, too!) with all of them!

Also, I keep forgetting to thank you for all your nice comments. Glad you liked Giverny. And the book on the Queen -- It sounds as though they do not pay well at the palace. The staff get a number of perks (meals and such) but if they are living there they have to pay a rent! It was intriguing and really interesting (though again, too much detail, I think!) but a little disillusioning at times. Still, I think she's just amazing.

These are all great. I love the humour of We Three Kings. The abstract washi is my favourite - there is something architectural about it.
