Fishing near a coral reef

Today Bleubeard and I are visiting our Polynesian friends Aisake and Fainga.

Aisake and his brother Fainga are fishing near a coral reef.

The brothers enjoy spending time together on the water.

They are both aware of the beauty of the surrounding area.

They try to stay clear of the coral reef because they don't want to upset the balance of the coral found there.

Materials include a used file folder loosely painted with brown and beige, an image from a travel magazine, an orange paint pen, six star buttons, and computer generated text.

Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me as we traveled to Polynesia to see the beautiful coral reef.  We are delighted you are here, and hopefully will visit us at Art Journal Journey, where we are hosting for a few more days.

This is a great way to show this beautiful picture. I love the coral one sees...so many great pics and the brown paint you used near the bottom looks like coral on the right side and then there seems to be a fish coming towards us next to it her the middle of the page.

Oh I love this page Elizabeth - the painting on the page really echos the coral shapes and colours so nicely. Really lovely.

What absolutely gorgeous pictures you are treating us with today. Love those corals. I can see now why people get hooked on having coral tanks but I do hope they are not spoiling the natural coral that you are showing us. I do know they have to have a licence to take it but even so I just wonder...
Anyway, thank you so much for showing us the coral in its natural surroundings. How lucky the guys are to be able to see this. Hope you and Bleubeard enjoyed the trip.
Hugs, Neet xx

You really overdid yourself this month with so many amazing collages and pages!
You made me so happy and you did inspire so many of the Art Journal Journey participants - it's amazing how many people joined your month! WOW!!!

This is probably going to be the only way I see coral, so thanks for taking me on this virtual trip :) Beautiful!
