Beach huts down by the shore

At Art Journal Journey Bleubeard and I are headed to the shore.

We're renting a beach hut, relaxing, and watching the boats sail by.

The weekly rental fee is quite reasonable

and we had our choice of huts.  Bleubeard wants to make sure the dog doesn't come with the one we rent.

These pretty huts are lined up

facing the water.

Bleubeard chose this one,

partly, I believe because of the black bird that kept landing on the roof.

Even the boats were colorful.

It was time to dip our toes and paws into the sand,

watch the boats pass by,

and admire the high flying flags that were on each of these beach huts.

Materials used began with white card stock spritzed with handmade shimmering mists, various colored scrapbook papers, hand painted papers, sandpaper, three heart buttons, three felt triangles, three sticker numbers, a punched bird, a black Micron pen, a green marker, a white gelly pen, computer generated text, and a TH paper doll (dog).

Bleubeard and I are thrilled you are joining us down at the shore.  There are lots of beach huts still available, and there's loads of time left to share a bit of summertime love at Art Journal JourneyHope you'll join us.

Your beach hut page is fabulous. Love all the pretty huts lined up. I used to enjoy living in a beach hut for a week as a kid, those were fun times. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

This page is just so beautiful Elizabeth and I am hoping it is a beach hut in Bridlington that you and Bluebeard are renting we have lots and lots here though none as beautiful as the ones you created.

Love Chrissie xx

Oh this is brilliant Elizabeth - I love this very much!
The beach huts on our seafront where I live are colourful but I think our council should hire you to decorate them like the fantastic joyful ones you created - they are sure to make everyone smile - even on a rainy day.

That would be the perfect place to spend the Summer. I like Bleubeard's choice. I wouldn't want the hut near the dog, either. Enjoy your day!

Of course Bleubeard doesn't want some old dog around. they always want to chase the cat, sometimes in play ode, but never in cat play mode for sure. :) I love the beach huts. I think it would be cool to have them here instead of those wet and sandy old bath houses everyone uses. Great page Elizabeth. Makes me want to go to the beach since its kind of humid here. Going to go finish painting my daughter's room though. I had it 3/4 done when she moved home 2 years ago and it never got finished, so finishing it is the plan of the day. Happy Wednesday. Hugs-Erika

WAAAAA! I want to go to the beach and stay in one of those cute little beach huts!!! I'll take the one with the dog, or the bird, any of them as long as I DON'T have to pack a box to get there!! :)
Yes, we are still in the moving process, been a few minor hiccups, and DH does NOT like change, so getting him to move is like rounding up a flock of wild turkeys.......but he has finally decided that I'M moving with or without him, as the house is about to close escrow....LOL!!!
(I got your e-mail about your e-mail)
Can't wait to get all this finished and get back to posting on my blog again......I really miss you and the T-gang!

What fun. I want to be in one of those beach houses on the shore. The dog looks like he's doing his job of house-guarding.

How many huts are left to rent. Bleubeard made a good choice, No 5 would have had my vote as well.
I hope that the dog is well behaved.
Its a fabulous page, a seaside summer paradise.
I'm sure that pretty huts like these days are still popular with everyone as well as families. I loved them.

Oh! It would have to be the middle one for me as Bleubeard has chosen the one I would have! We would be holiday neighbours! I can picture the view! Might have to chase the dog away though! What a wonderful page! Hugs, Chrisx
