First full week of ICADs: June 5 through 11

I decided to create a series this week.  Tammy Garcia, our ICAD host at Daisy Yellow encourages us to use a single staple to create ICADs.

These are much harder to create than one imagines, at least they are for me.  For Day 5, I found all my blue scraps and held them in place while I tried to staple them in place.  For this IC, I cut my own from a used file folder, then stapled the paper and vellum scraps.  I hand wrote the sentiment using a blue metallic Sakura pen.

For Day 6, more of the same, but this time in pink.  This time the sentiment is in metallic pink.

For Day 7, even more of the same, this time with gold metallic ink.

For Day 8, I got bored and, even though I continued with the color theme,  I glued these parallelograms in place, then used metallic green Sakura ink pen for the sentiment.

For Day 9, I thought I would try stamping my hand carved leaves.  I used deli paper I had colored, but the piece was fraught with problems, since I didn't get all the air bubbles out of the deli paper when I added it to the IC.    I also didn't get the leaf inked well.  And finally, I realized when I printed the word, the only place to attach it was on the side.

For Day 10, I returned to my color scheme, but had problems when I tried to stamp the date using my date stamp.  As a result, I had to add the date using a white Gelly pen.  I always say third time is a charm!

For Day 11, I colored some heavy card stock green and red, then attached the fan to the IC using a single staple.  The top fan blade is held with a prayer.  I wrote the sentiment and names using a red metallic Sakura ink pen, but smudged them while the ink was still wet.  Live and learn.

Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me again for this first full week of ICADs.  As I've said before, this is the only place you will find them, because I'm not on any other social media sites.

I love the idea of following a theme as you did with the swatches. Love the blue swatches the best along with your handwriting

Looks like a lot of work to me. You are talented, all right. But... don't say you're blue, too :)

Fun color play Elizabeth. I like your ICADS a lot. You really get your word play on. :) Hope you've cooled down a bit but it looks like (since I finally saw the weather last night) half the country is hot right now. Oh well, it is summer. And I don't have to be in school so I am enjoying that a lot! Happy Monday. Hugs-Erika
