T Stands For bEARTHday gift

I intended to share this last week, but life got in the way and I showed a post I had already photographed.   Today I am sharing three of my favorites: 1) a gift from my friend Cindy from her Pink Bird Studio in Canada, 2)a rocking horse, this time in the shape of a coffee mug, and 3)Bleubeard.

Granted, this may not be Bleubeard, but it's a genuine beauty, none-the-less.

I love it and will cherish it forever and ever.  Thank you beyond belief, Cindy.

As an aside, I will be gone most of the day on Tuesday.  There is an end-of-school assembly, and my friend's sister and I will be there to support the two tweens and make sure the school knows where to send their transcripts.  I have never had children (nor been married, for that matter), so this is a learning process for me, too.  It all has to be done before they can leave the district and enroll in a new school in the fall, though.   So if I don't visit before I leave in the morning, I'll be by late in the day.  Please don't give up on me visiting, though.

Now it's your turn to show us your T entry this week.  The rules are extremely simple.  Your drink related post may be anything from a photo of a glass, cup, or mug, to an actual drink.  You may choose to share a sketch or a digital, hybrid, or traditional page in your scrapbook, art journal, or altered book.  Maybe you'd prefer to share a tag, or wow us with your photography.  You might choose a postcard or decorated card.  You might even draw an image on a used tea bag.  Or perhaps you prefer to review a place you visited, a movie, or book.  It makes no difference as long as it's drink related.  And don't forget that the more unique and outside the box it is, the better we like it.  Please tie it back here, and please link only to your T post, not your entire blog.  When you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit.   Bleubeard would also like to remind you that your photos may be taken any time, even months or years ago, if you choose.

Love the beautiful painting you got from Cindy, what a gorgeous present. The mug is great, too. I think it's fine that you're spending the day with the kids, don't worry about visiting, what you have planned is much more important. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

What lovely thoughtful gifts. You have many special friends because that's what you are, Elizabeth. I'm humbled by how you stepped up for your friend and her children ... with no mothering experience ... just a mother's loving heart.

No worries about getting around to visit us. Give yourself a break this week, pretty please ;)

Hugs, Eileen

I'm glad you like it and that Bleubeard approves! I only wish I had painted it. Take care - your friend would be so pleased to know you are watching out for her kids. You are a kind person and a good friend.

Cindy's painting is beautiful. What a lovely gift. It certainly looks like Bluebeard. I've never seen a mug with a rocking horse, so that is really special.
I've not got a computer today. It has broken down and I am waiting for it to be sorted. So I'm not blogging today as I dont know how to on my phone.
Have a great Tday,
Lisca

Best wishes to your friend and her tweens! Good luck to them in their new school too. Middle school and high school aren't easy at the best of times. Hopefully they can look at it as a new beginning and chance to make a great new start. They are lucky to have you to help out, even if you've never had children. I'll bet you will have a different (and valuable) perspective on what's needed and how to proceed. You've certainly had a lot of 'school' yourself Dr. E! Beautiful painting you've received...i could swear that Bleubeard posed for it! lol...happy T day dear friend!

You really work hard at that yard. I am not quite so energetic but I might use you as an example. I love your post about your studio tidy. Your photos are so clear and crisp. I doubt if I will ever get mine organized. And when I start to work on a project , the studio is back to where it began.
