Mindy leaves Mitzi at home

Today I'm joining Yvonne from Meggy's Way, this month's host at Art Journal Journey, as well as the DT at Try it on Tuesday.  Yvonne's theme is Out and About and TioT's theme is Lady in Red.

Some of you will remember that Mindy recently took Mitzi for a ride on her trike.

Today, Mindy has left Mitzi at home and is now

out and about riding her trike all over town.

Since Mindy is dressed in red (three different red colored crayons),

I am also joining Try it on Tuesday.

I'm not quite sure why my camera made these colors look pink, but they were all different shades of red.

For some reason, my scanner has quit talking to my computer again.  So, here are the materials I used: a used file folder, an old ledger sheet, two images of Mindy I've had on my computer for years, and have no idea where I got them, three Crayola crayons, computer generated text, and a really leaky Deco ink pen.

Please join me at Art Journal Journey and Try it on Tuesday for some incredible mixed media and journal art.  And thanks, too, for visiting me today.  I am very, very grateful.

Its lovely to see Mitzi an her tricycle again. I love how you coloured the dress red and yes it is hard to get the true colours to show as we would want. I think it happens to us all. Its a fantastic interesting background as well.
Thank you for joining us all at TioT's and of course at AJJ, I am enjoying this month and seeing what everyone has been creating.
Have a good weekend.
Yvonne xx

The way you colored Mindy reminds me of photographs in my parents' photo album. Dad had used colored inks to tint photographs. Apparently, this was a popular pastime of the 1930s and 40s

I bet Mitzi is missing her ride. I know my dog is always so sad when she gets left behind. But I love the old photo. And your page too. :) I always wonder about life back in those "days"- in ways it must have been good and in ways it must have been terrible. No equal opportunities for girls, when they grew up, no vaccines for diseases which killed so many kids, but then, no drug issues, no internet to take up all their time- I think I've done too much thinking and I don't want to take the pure joy from your page. have a fantastic weekend Elizabeth. Hugs-Erika
