Rock on!

This is a scheduled post.  It is scheduled in case my electricity is off due to an ice storm that is supposed to hit this area Saturday and last through Monday morning.  Do not fear, though.  I have also scheduled T Stands For Tuesday, in case I'm still offline.  In 2005, my electricity was off for six days, and I had to stay with friends because the house was so cold.  If you don't hear from me today or Monday, you'll know what happened.

While taking photos of my Christmas decorations and trees, I removed the Christmas tree, then took a few photos of my guest bedroom.

All my guests must share the room with many, many rocking horses.

I realize those of you who have been visiting my blog for many years have seen this room before.  Little has changed.

But since I now have so many new readers, friends, and followers, I thought I would share this room again.  Note the rocking rabbit and deer on the night stand, along with a musical and candle rocking horse.

You'll find rocking horses wherever you look in this room.

They are everywhere, including the infuser I hang in the window.

Of course, there are quite a few altered books and framed prints I have acquired on my travels across the U.S.

A rocker can be a deer, too.

Other memorabilia, devoted to both my grandparents can also be found in this room.

Thanks for dropping by today.  I am very grateful for your visit, and I hope to return it, at least if my power is on.

Fun post, good to see your collection of rockers in your guest room. Nobody will ever say that you are off your rocker.... Hope your storm is not as bad as you thought.
Take care, hugs, Valerie

Thinking of you today Elizabeth. I was just reading about the storm. I hope the worst is over and that you and the boys are keeping warm.

Great that you scheduled some posts and I do hope your services are in working order.

I have never seen the rocking horse room before and never even ridden on a rocking horse though I do love the big rides at the fun fair with horses that go up and down

Love Chrissie xx

IT was fun to revisit this room. I hope you don't lose power!!! That would be awful! We are under a watch for that same storm but likely will just get snow out of it. The forecast is warning 1/10th in of ice then 3 inches of snow for us. At least the kids are off school on Monday for MLK day.
Take care!!!

I feel like I am seeing it for the first time.
Life moves so fast doesn't it.
Hope you safe and warm and still plugged in.
Weather reports do sound serious out your way.
Take care oxo

I haven't heard from you so I hope its not because your power is out but because you are having fun and ignoring the computer. I love seeing this room. You have some beautiful antiques and some cool rocking horses too. I love seeing peeks into people's homes and this was a pleasure Elizabeth. :) Hope all is well and not dark and cold. Hugs-Erika

I don't remember seeing your room before and I love it. You have such a beautiful collection of antique furniture through out your whole house and it brings me such joy to see it. Your rockers are delightful ♥ Hoping you did well with the ice. We got two waves of it but were fortunate that we did not lose power and the ice is all gone today.

Well, I'm new since you showed this so I'm glad you did! Any guest would be delighted to sleep in the rocking horse room! It's lovely!

Thanks for coming by -- hope the losing power was just a prediction and not an actuality. That pile-up you described in your comment sounded terrifying.

The bed looks very comfortable, I can just imagine sinking into it with these blue-red warm pillows (I've got a feeling you call cushions pillows and you call our bed pillows something else). It would be very pleasant to sleep in a room with all the friendly rocking horses to keep one company. I love seeing rooms in another house, thanks Elizabeth.
