T Stands For A Look Back at 2016 T

Every year I try to find a few photos from the year that is about to end.  This year is no exception.

January

Imagine my delight when I found this post from January showing some gifts I received.  Some of my T friends wanted to see the Santa place mat from several weeks ago, so here it is in all its glory.

February

In February, I shared this post for Mardi Gras.  I also showed the difference between my old and new cameras.  The difference is stunning.

March

The March post I chose covered St. Patrick's Day and the Ides of March.  It was all about the green.

April

April of every year is about recycling.  Here I recycled a defunct CD and half a plastic Easter egg.  Then I cut a piece of rosmary from my plant and planted it, hoping it would grow.  Yes, that was tea I was drinking in my craft room.

May

In May, my place setting showed all orphans, or pieces that have nothing matching them.  I also am on a British kick, with tea from Kew and scones from a local bakery.

June

In June, I was lucky that the Craft Barn letter was T.  Now what could be better than tea at T time.  And I STILL can't stamp!

July

In July, T Stands For Tuesday turned three.  We shared ATCs in a pay-it-forward fashion and celebrated by having a wonderful T party.

August

Seems like my foodie friend Sally and I ate out a LOT in August.  Here we're enjoying Mexican food and water with lemon.

September

I was so fortunate and honored to host Art Journal Journey the entire month of September, so all my posts, including T Stands For Tuesday, came from my art journal, my first art journal ever.

October

In October, Sally and I visited Autumn and Art where I saw these awesome teapots, tea cups, and goblets.  Of course, I had to share them for T.

November

In November, I used grape juice to dye some fabric for gift making.  Although it didn't turn out as spectacular as I anticipated, I was still pleased with the results.

December

Finally, I found a way to help put me in the mood for Christmas by having chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.

I hope you enjoyed this look back at T Stands For Tuesday in 2016.  I am so very glad you have joined me in making this a great T year.

Now it's your turn.  You may share a place you visited, an empty cup, a full cup, teapot, or mug, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below (direct links only, please), then Bleubeard and I, along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that your photos may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday.

I plan to continue hosting Second on the 2nd each month in 2017, so be thinking about what you want to share in the new year.  If you are new to my blog, the Second on the 2nd is a post you have shared in the past.  ANY post is acceptable, any genre.  If it's your first time, what better than to start sharing a previous post with us beginning in January.   We share a post and link up on the 2nd of each month, so new players are ALWAYS welcome.

What a fun post, it's good to see the review of your year. I have been reviewing my photos from this year, I didn't realise quite how many I had taken.
Have a good last week of the year, and a happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Great review. Love your posts on the art and craft fair and your collages through the year. The eclair at the end with it's chocolate icing would be oh so good with a cup of joe. Thanks so much for your wonderful gift. What a nice surprise it was. xox

What a fun look back at your year in photos, Elizabeth.

I hate to admit being clueless - but why are the February Mardi Gras babies: 1. floating; 2. doing the backstroke; or 3. drowning (God forbid!) in your tea?

As for May and nothing matches: OMGosh, I see red, white & blue - the colors of many nations' flags and, of course, the very posh tea bag tray emblazoned with the British flag.

Thank you for the info on your Second. I'll be thinking about it.

Happy New Year, Elizabeth! Thanks again for hosting us :D

I don't have a tea post this week, but that's not going to keep me away :) I think my favorite of your pictures you share in this post is the one of all those tea pots. Wow! Arresting! I'd love to go there and look in person :)

What a great idea to choose a photo from each month. I might copy that idea next time for the New Year. (If you don't mind)
What on earth are those babies doing drifting in you tea? How macabre! Are they ice cubes? or sugar ? We don't celebrate Mardi Gras here so I have no idea about those customs.
I remember quite a few of the photos and I wonder if that little plant in the egg shell really took off....
I had to google the Ides of March and found out that it was the 15th of March when Julius Caesar was murdered.
Thank you for an entertaining post.
Happy T-Day and also a happy new Year,
Hugs,
Lisca

Since I'm new to your T Stands For Group, I really enjoyed catching up with what you did through the year. Loved seeing the tea cups and tea pots and especially your art.

I'm really enjoying participating in this thread. Sometimes, I'm at a loss for a blog topic. It's helpful to have something in place. If there isn't a pithy art topic or something on my drawing board, there's always a cup floating around.

What a really lovely recap E ♥
I admire you for your skill and discipline in being able to select one photo to beautifully represent each month AND write something about it too!
Impossible to pick a favorite.
Thank you so much for a year of fun connections.

What fun to see your year in photo's. Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the Tea Party this week. You can probably guess I was at the River without internet access. I'm going to visit everyone in any case.
