We interrupt Art Journal Journey for my final Summertime Photo Scavenger Hunt photos, part 3

My final photos for this year's  Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt are finally finished.  And just in time, since summer officially ends tomorrow.  Technically, I have until September 22 at 10:20 A.M. EDT, since autumn begins at 10:21 A.M. EDT.  but I am really late anyway, so I might as well get these final photos off my camera and onto my blog.  As soon as this post goes live, you'll be able to access all three posts on my Previous Collaborations page.

I want to thank Maria "Rinda" Ontivero for hosting this fun event each year.  Now it's time for me to put this scavenger hunt to bed.

2. A footprint or paw print.  I took three photos, the first to orient you to my yard.

The second was to show both prints, but I wasn't sure you could see the print in the mud, so

I focused on the footprint in the mud in this photo.

4.  Book I read in 2016.  This was an interesting book,

but I would have enjoyed it more had it had more mixed media and less drawing lessons.

13. Moon.  I had all but given up on this shot, then last night I was looking out my office window and saw the moon big as day.  I was super thrilled.  I rushed outside before a cloud obscured the view and took this without the use of a tripod or any way to stabilize my camera.  I took about 10 shots and this was probably the best that was centrally located.  Others were better, but they weren't centered like this one.

16. Map showing a trip taken this summer.  Not the fun trip one would expect, but my friend Scott and I took a trip to his parents this summer because his father was having chest pains.  He needed to go to the hospital, which ended up being Wichita, where our trip began.  His parents live in the country near a small town called Sterling, KS.

17. Twins (and 8, something created in my altered book).  I didn't anticipate finding twins, but when I found this article in the archives when I was researching something for our Neighborhood Association, I knew I had to use it.  I'll let you read the story I put in my own words.

I used painted deli paper for the background and computer generated the words on yellow paper.  Purple ink and purple letters were added to offset the yellow.  This spread was created in my Coll-AH-ge Two altered book.

21. Me.  Recently, I was at my friend Sally's.  I had my camera with me, but was there to help her, not have my picture taken.  However, it and my moon shot were all I had left, so I picked up a newspaper and asked her to take a photo of me.  I wish I had run my fingers through my hair and checked to see my fingernails were clean before I decided to let her take my photo.  I did like how her lighting made my blonde brown hair look pink. In case you can't read it, the date is September 12, 2016, which is in our time frame.  Don't forget, Bleubeard, not Elizabeth, is the face of our blog!

Thanks for taking time to view these final photos from summertime 2016.

And thanks to Rinda for hosting.

Very creative photo of you Missy!
Your moon shot makes me think the moon IS made of cheese ;-)
Really great shot and without a tripod even more amazing...you have really steady hands.
Fun foot print shots too.
I missed playing along with Rinda's scavenger hunt this year...too much extra upheaval going on for us lately.

well done on the moon shot, I tried one the other day and it was rubbish. course, I hadn't bothered to go outside but was shooting through the closed window...... I think that photo of you is cheating just a little bit...!!!!

Great photos Elizabeth!
Your great hairstyle makes me even more curious to see your face!
Hope to see your face as well - would be nice for me to have the face to Elizabeth even though you have a face in my mind...would be interesting if the real one and that in my mind looks similar.

I had to give up on Rinda's Scavenger Hunt - just too much going on to get many at all, although I started well. There just never seemed time to sort through them and check them off!
I love that moon shot - wow!
I did not like the way you cheated us out of seeing your face - I would have words with Sally if I could!!! I must say your hair looks very stylish and I am sure that you don't have face that would scare us! Com'on Sally and Bleubeard tell your friend to show her face…please? (I know, I'm a nosy parker!! sorry!)
Big Hugs, Chrisx

I love your very clever self portrait! It's a great challenge and kudos to you for pulling off the whole challenge!

Thanks for coming over to the Gypsy. I'm sorry it's still so hot in your neck of the woods -- it doesn't feel like fall at all, does it? Well, it'll cool soon, I suspect. I hope so.

Nicely done with the photos! Love your Twins. Getting creative and thinking outside the box is sometimes very necessary with these challenges.
