T Stands For LeMonde

Some of you may have noticed I haven't been around since early Saturday.  My sincere apologies, because I will visit you, that's a promise.  I just got called away unexpectedly.
Awhile back, my friend Sally and I went to Le Monde for lunch.  As an aside, I've mentioned to Valerie and several others that our electrical power lines are all above ground.  This photo is a pretty good indication of how much electricity these businesses use.  Note the power lines are on both sides of the street, too.

The menu
is definitely Mediterranean.
Even before we ordered, we were given our complimentary biscuit.
Sally always eats hers while waiting for her food, but I like to wait.  We both had water and I had lemon with mine, which the waitress originally forgot to include.  To be honest, it's been so long since these were taken (back in April) that I have forgotten what I ate and I somehow failed to photograph the entree.  As always, the biscuit was quite good.

Now it's your turn to share your latest drink related post.  Any drink, any experience is acceptable.  Coffee, tea, water, postcards, movies, old masters paintings, photos, or a trip out and about is acceptable.  The more unique and unusual the better, in my opinion.  Once you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit.  And it goes without saying, your photos can be taken anytime, not just this month, or even this year.

Please don't forget that Second on the 2nd will be here before you know it.  So now's the time to dig up one of those old posts that you've posted before, but want to bring back again.

Looks like a nice place for a meal. They must really use loads of electricity there! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Interesting to see the power lines - is there a reason they are above ground ?
I can see a few things I would like on that menu - as for the biscuit - is it sweet or savoury - I will have to look this biscuit up as it doesn't look like any English biscuits. Hope all is OK with you, Hugs, Chrisx

I can never wait for my meal to eat the bread. All we get around here is bread. Never a biscuit. And I love biscuits. Guess they are not very New England. They look yummy to me. Happy t day. Hugs erija

Love to see your eateries. Have to say we made the pesto on Sunday and had it with pasta and cheese--delicious. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Mmm, the menu is making my mouthwater - I would have had the Cannelloni and the biscuit with butter would have gone in seconds of it arriving ... lol :-). Wishing you happiness and a lovely T Day! J :-)

Those biscuits look like a nice treat.
That and a glass of water could be pretty filling ;-)
Fun for restaurants to have their signature welcome treat.
Hope everything is OK E.
Happy T Day oxo
p.s. about tearing the red rosin paper...I have a metal Fiskars ruler with two different rough edges on it...it takes a bit of work to tear the pages but I did feel it gave the edges a nice look and feel
I was tickled to find a place for my silver swan charm too :-)

Power lines are above ground here in older neighborhoods like ours and only underground in the newer developments.

You and Sally get to some interesting places when you go out for a meal. I like a slice of lemon in my glass of water too.

Well, I made it through the list and back to my name........and realized I hadn't stopped HERE! I always make yours my first stop....hmmm???

The menu looked interesting.
I stopped asking for lemon in my water or any other drink after reading an article about how unsanitary it is. If I can find it again I'll send it to you. It really made sense to me.

Happy T-day my friend!
