I've had these photos on my camera for several weeks, but thought I would wait until Maria "Rinda" Ontivero, the host of Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt added the linky. Then I got caught up in the drama of not having the internet or telephone, which was overshadowed by the festivities of the holiday weekend. In any case, I didn't find time to post these.
The bad news is, I still don't have the internet or phone and the serviceman that I was promised either didn’t show or didn’t contact me since I don’t have a cell phone. The good news (at least I'm hopeful it's good news) is that I am at my friend Sally's where I can add my link. So I'm still in limbo and waiting NOT very patiently for someone to check out the phone, since it seems the internet can't be dealt with till the phone line is fixed. And until I learn whether the phone problem is outside the house, which becomes AT&T's problem, or inside the house, where it becomes my problem, I'm on pins and needles wondering how expensive it will be to fix if it's my problem.
1. A "wild heart" - a naturally occurring heart
This is actually a weed I pulled, then noticed how it looked heart shaped to me. Instead of immediately throwing it in the compost pile, I draped it over my mailbox and took a couple of photos of it.
5. A porch or deck
I spent several hours rearranging things and creating a new flower arrangement for my front porch, so thought while I was waiting for the holiday guests to arrive, I would take these photos which I didn't show the 4th.
6. A camper (caravan) Found this parked about three blocks from my house. It was gone the next time I drove by and I only saw it the one time.
9. Someone playing with, in, or around water I was trying to loosen the weeds growing in my driveway, when I realized this was a valid photo op. Question: if it's bad taste to wear white after labor day (end of August), is it bad taste to wear black after memorial day (end of May)?
10. A bicycle Not as easy to find in a large town like mine, so I was thrilled when I saw this one.
11. Fresh produce: This was as fresh as I could get it!
I went back three times to pig out on salads and desserts.
15. A team logo: A lady at the post office allowed me to take a photo of the back of her shirt. I took several where she posed from the back, but the one I used was the only one where she wasn't posing. Go figure!
18. A supermarket cart, basket or trolley full of groceries: This was NOT my cart, but one a lady was in the process of unloading in the parking lot of Aldi, a store where we bag our own groceries. I asked if I could take a photo, even though she had already bagged at least three bags before I took this. One thing I don't like about Aldi is you have to be careful how you place your groceries on the conveyer belt, or else your bread or other soft food will land in the bottom under heavy cans, jars, and bottles.
Thanks for joining me for this first installment of Rinda's Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. I hope you've enjoyed these photos because now that I have a decent camera, this is a very fun endeavor.
This is my final scheduled (from my house) post, so I hope to be back online soon. I'm tired of using Sally's Mac and Safari. There's something to be said for familiarity.

Fun photos! Sorry about your internet, and hope you are soon able to reconnect with the rest of the wold! Hugs, Valerie
hope your phone/internet gets sorted soon, thank goodness for Sally! love the Scavenger hunt photos.
Phone and net problems seem to have the same responses here too, people not turning up or making contact, arguing over ownership of the problems...argh. I really hope it's sorted out and mostly, with minimum expenditure. Like you, I can use safari, but prefer what I know inside out! Love the pics of your porch all ready for your Independence Day guests. Gosh you have to work hard in your garden. I'm just headed out to ours, it's been such bad weather that it'll take a couple of weeks of dry days to tackle the tidying at the rate I work!
Hope you are hooked back up by now Elizabeth. My internet was REALLY slow last night and that was annoying enough. Love your photos. Hope the 4th was fun-your porch looks so patriotic and old fashioned summery which is just the way it should be. Hugs-Erika
A fun set of photos. I hope you get answers to your problems with the net soon.
Yvonne xx
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your porch! I wish we had one like that.

Good ones all. Sorry about the phone, internet, communications MESS...ugh so frustrating, maybe it's a good time to just smell the roses! xox
Now that sounds like fun! You did well on these, that's for sure. :)
Oh my! You are well on the way! Must post and link mine so far! Chrisx
I will look forward to what all you find! These are always fun!
I didn't know that you have also Aldi in Kansas - we have the Austrian version of Aldi
called "Hofer" - has the same stuff as Aldi
and since I do not more than one grocerie shopping a week I also have always a well filled cart, I have a sophisticated system (lol)to put the things in the cart and on the conveyer and back into the cart. Grocerie shopping is a very hard job!!
Good to hear that you fixed the pc problems meanwhile,
I missed you!
Nicely done! Thanks for the idea for the leaves. All I had to do was take a walk into the backyard. :)
