ICADs for week 8

We're now in the home stretch of these ICADs with our penultimate week.  Here are Days 48 through 54.

"A gift for you"  (July 18, 2016)  This is what you get when you throw a bunch of disparate and unrelated scraps together.

"T Stands For Tuesday's 3rd Anniversary"  (July 19, 2016)  Enough said!

"Over hill, over dale to Grandmother's"  (July 20, 2016)  Not exactly a mixed metaphor, because these two phrases are not logically incoherent.  They just seem to represent other times and places, not the one I have chosen for them.  I used two small images and piece of torn paper bag for this scene.

"Food Fare"  (July 21, 2016)  I put three examples of food and drink together using a single staple.  This one was easy, albeit very unbalanced.

"Face the music" (July 22, 2016)   A play on words and images resulted when I stamped the face and added the sheet music.

"Take Flight" (July 23, 2016)  My friend Kathy gave me a ton of these butterflies she cut from a punch.  She said the secret was to find colorful magazine images and punch away.  I just gave them flight.

"Balancing Balls"  (July 24, 2016)  A hodge-podge of washi tape, ribbon, colored circles, and a punched bird make up this humorous final card for week 8.

Squiggles, who got a big head last week when he felt like the star of the show, and I want to thank you for your continued support of this two month project.  I am always grateful for your visit.

These are fun cards dear friend! it's so fascinating how you can adhere so many images together with just a few stitches or a single staple! Really like the 'over hill, over dale' scene...love the houses and colors, and of course the torn paper!

Fabulous ATCs! There is so much to like, my favourites are Face the music, Take flight and Balancing balls and of course T Stands for Tuesday's 3rd Anniversary! Well I think that's pretty much all of them ... lol. Anyway, you have used a great variety of techniques and as usual I'm loving those stitched elements, I'm really am going to have to try that one day. Thanks for the inspiration and wishing you a happy week! J :-)

What a fabulous variety and if you asked me for a favourite I would be hard pressed to choose! I think I would choose 'Face the Music' - love a bit of wordplay! Dear Elizabeth, I have caught up with your posts, I didn't realise I was so far behind! Have you seen our dilemma on the other blog? Hugs, Chrisx

Awesome pieces Elizabeth. I love the butterfly one, and the balancing one. Do you think of the phrase and then come up with how to represent it? Heard you had some very hot weather too. Stay cool. This has been a hot summer for sure-at least here. They say 90's all week. Glad I will be in a cooler place. Wish I could pack you long in my suitcase too. Have a wonderful week. Hugs-Erika

Love the way your butterflies are strung together with threads...
feels like we're all being held together by a thin thread with so much bad news lately.
Thank you for sharing another batch of interesting and super ICADs E!
Each one really does tell a story and your titles add to the mix.

Lots of fun images and techniques Elizabeth. Love the stitched butterflies. You little stamped tea set is adorable. Food fare is a great combination of images. The gift is clever. My favorite though? Over hill, over dale. Love the images and torn paper. Simple but just right.
