ICADs for week 3

We're up to week 3 of altered index cards, and here are the latest I've created.

"Change is coming." (June 13)  I admit this is a favorite technique where I use a single staple to catch all the layers.

"Friends and Flowers, Fun and Easy!" (June 14, 2016)  This was part of a paper towel (aka kitchen towel) that I had used to wipe up various inks.  I thought it looked like flowers, so I found sayings I thought were appropriate.

This was definitely Bleubeard's Day.  I've been trying to get a few photos of him, but he refuses to cooperate.  To entice him, I offered to create an index card per his instructions.  It didn't take him long to tell me what he wanted.  First, I had to sew several pieces of leftover paint chips together, then I had to stamp his signature stamp on the assembly, along with the date.  Finally, he instructed me to staple the assembly to the card.  Unfortunately, the enticement didn't help me get any still shots.

"Random Hearts." (June 16, 2015)  I stamped hearts and cut some out of patterned images.

"On the wings of love." (June 17)  I realize this was a quickie, but I was quite busy on Friday, mainly because I was gone all day.  Besides, I like the positive feel to this one.

"Brothers at heart." (June 18)  Since my two don't want to sit still for photos, I had to find other ways to represent them.  I swear that looks just like Bleubeard when he was a kitten, right down to that white beard (although Bleubeard's was gray)!

As much time as I spent indoors yesterday due to the downpours that just kept coming, you would think I would have gotten a few photos of either Squiggles or Bleubeard.  But once my camera comes out, it's "scaredy-cat" time.

"It's a red letter day." (June 19, 2016)  Enough said!

Thanks for joining me today and thanks for being so kind with your comments, especially since this is the only place you will see my ICADs.

Lovely ICADS, glad Bleubeard is helping you and giving you the necessary instructions! I wonder why they don't like being photographed? My Kitty was a right poser, so had no problems with her! My fave today is the random hearts.Hope you soon dry out, it didn't rain here today, I can hardly believe it! Hugs, Valerie

I love your cards Elizabeth. I think they are your forte. Too bad Bleubeard and Squiggles don't want to be in the limelight. Maybe one day they will get used to that idea-ha-ha. Hope it was a good weekend and you have a red letter day or even better a red letter start to your week. Hugs-Erika

I love your cards, they all have so much interest on them.
I know how you feel about photo's of your feline duo. Meg runs off if she sees the camera. We have to sneak up on her and thats not as easy task.

Another lovely batch of cards Elizabeth - I really love those accidental flowers on the towel. I would have guessed you did that on purpose! And very cute baby picture of Bleubeard (even if it's not really him)! We couldn't get a decent 'natureal' picture of our cat Max because he always stopped to pose as soon as he saw the camera. They certainly all have their own personalities don't that? I also really liked the materials you cut the hears out of for 'random hearts'.

Such a nice variety of cards E!
That mop up towel certainly IS blooming lovely.
The kitten on the right looks like he's sticking his tongue out (made me giggle).
Lovely rainbow thread you used on Bleubeard's Day
"On the wings of Love" speaks to me so sweetly too.

Lovely mix of index cards you have created, I especially like the kitchen towel (that you used to wipe of various inks) one and the stitching is a lovely touch! :-)
