T Stands for after the Zoo

After my friend Sally and I left the zoo, we went to eat at a restaurant in our neighborhood.

Byblos, a mom and pop Lebanese restaurant, was on the way home and we visit there often.  Originally we both picked a meal from the menu, but I saw the sign on the back wall, which of course I forgot to photograph that explained the menu included some beef, green bean, and rice meal.  Sally decided to get it,

as did I, since it came with hummus or tabouli.  We both chose hummus, though.  The waitress explained I could get it without the beef, so I decided that I would try it, too.

The green bean, tomato sauce, and rice dish, along with the hummus, were the perfect ending to the day at the zoo.  And of course, the water with lemon hit the spot, since we were both thirsty.

Now it's time for you to share your drink related post.  In case you don't know the rules, please link any post below that involves some form of drink.   That drink could be made from art, sketched, digital, hybrid, or traditional.  It can be a time when you were out and about, or a drink you had at home.  It could be in the form of a book you read, a postcard you received, scrapbook page you created, or a movie you watched.   It doesn't matter as long as you can, in some way, tie it back to a drink.  After linking your direct post below (not your blog in general, please), Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit and enjoy whatever you choose to share.  And remember, as Bleubeard would say, your photos may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday.

Looking at that food has made me feel hungry, I wouldn't mind a plate of hummus right now, but it's bed time....Glad you were able to have a good meal and a drink after your zoo visit, you were both surely hungry and thirsty. Hugs, Valerie

Yum. I love hummus. Even better on a falafel sandwich. And I'm not even hungry now but you are making me think about this.Sounds like the perfect lunch after a day walking around the zoo. So I wanted to mention about my small house. My house is small. But what you see is the addition view. 16 years ago the hubby decided he wanted to put an addition on the house. I knew at the time it was a bad idea, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyhow, he added on off the driveway side of the house, which is what you saw in the post photo. Of course it was way more project than he could handle in the long run- well actually he hired an electrician who never showed up and then he decided to do it himself, and he grew tired of it and busy and so it has sat since. I do get use of the garage, which is wonderful, but the rest of the addition is a hollow unheated shell filled with all our junk and now it needs a major cleaning. So I do have a small house with a giant closet (addition). Happy T Day!

Now ThAT is a serious plate of hummus -- and it looks delish!

I just wanted to thank you for your recent visits to the Gypsy and your terrific comments! I loved your early blogging story and nice words (which truly made me smile!). It means so much when you come by! I'm late saying thanks but it's there -- full force!

Green beans, tomatoes and rice sounds delish. I just planted tomatoes yesterday, now that I finally have a sunny yard. Got 16 plants - must be crazy - but I'm hoping to dehydrate a few in my dehydrator hubby got me for Christmas. Want to put up veg for soup making in the winter. I like that Lebanese food, but not the meat (usually lamb isn't it?). Hummus, yum. xox
