Music helps me escape to other lands
I'm once again joining Art Journal Journey where my dear friend Erika, aka BioArtGal is this month's host. Although AJJ's theme is "Journeys," I'm also joining Try it on Tuesday where their theme is "I can hear the music."
So today I actually got out some rubber stamps (yes, they are all red rubber, and all but the Eiffel Tower are wood mounted, which seems to work best for me)
and took a trip that led me to foreign songs.
In case you can't read my messy handwriting, it reads: Music helps me escape to distant lands.
Materials used include a freebie sheet from Stampington magazine that I sewed to my used file folder substrate. The three wood mounted stamps are from Hero Arts and the UM is not marked. Believe it or not, I may actually be getting better at stamping.
Thanks for joining me today. Of course, I would like it if you also visited or joined the challenges at Art Journal Journey and Try it on Tuesday, too.

This is a brilliant page - I love how the music from distant lands inspired you to do some pretty good stamping! That's a fabulous Hawaiian shirt! I couldn't resist reading that list of music -what a mix! Hugs, Chrisx
A super fun page - you see that your stamping gets better and better - congrats! I am happy you combined the TioT and AJJ Challenges so clever this time again!
Hope you have some nice plans for the weekend !
Happy Friday dear Elizabeth, thanks a lot for joining TioT's and Art Journal Joureny again!

Lovely page and stamping, thanks so much for joining us at TIOT and AJJ with your super combi page! Hugs, Valerie
This is a great way to connect TIOT and AJJ. I love how you sewed down the page and have just a peek of the music showing. And maybe you are developing a stamping addiction? Ha-ha-ha! I think you have the technique down. That is scary about that close tornado. You have been have some scary weather this whole month. Hope it calms down ASAP and those tornadoes stay away. We have 2 more days of summery weather before it cools down, which is good as I hope to have an outside chore day this weekend. Enjoy your day and thanks again for linking up to AJJ. Hugs-Erika
Music from other countries certainly can transport us and it is a wonderful escape.
Your page is super E and your stamping looks great too.
Your stitching adds great interest as well.
At a shop yesterday I spotted some La Blanche special stamping paper which I had never ever heard of before you mentioned Chris' La Blanche hot air balloon stamp the other day. So I asked the shop keeper if they carried any La B stamps as I'd never seen any before. As it happened they had a handful and they were on sale so I brought home a butterfly and had some fun using it as wings coming in a post soon.
Awareness is such an interesting thing.
Thanks to you and Chris ... although I did break my no more rubber stamp rule LOL.
Had to share that with you.
Happy Friday to ya oxo
I love your interpretation (and agree wholeheartedly!) And I do better with mounted stamps too, though to be honest, I don't do all that well with them, either!
WOW! This is a fantastic mix of challenges!! Matches the mix of music listed (yes I read them too)
You asked about the music napkin I used on my journal page. It came LAST summer from our own Pearshaped Chris, she had gotten my name in your anniversary ATC swap. I have been hoarding them.....LOL!
Sure we can hear music in those places. A creative card. Thank you for sharing with us at TioT.
Thank you for the clarification
La Blanche from Valerie
Bike from Chris
for me it was still early in the AM
maybe I'd better have a little caffeine before I start commenting next time ;-)
that's my excuse and I'm stickin to it LOL
Have to laugh about my "awareness" part of my comment above
I will share my Blanche Butterfly tamale

How nice! Great page. I find every time I visit another country I buy CD's in the naive language...very fun to listen too and good for dinner parties too...
A brilliant page for the TioT's Music theme, I am trying to catch up but it will be a slow process.
